| .....The Hole...... There once was a magical place beneath the floor. A place so enticing that it drew people from all over the land. A place filled with darkness, dirt, old beer cans.... and one other important ingredient. Deemed the "hole" by its pioneers(brian y matty), it is home of the famous vlad the inhaler. The greatest bong of his day(made of a plastic $5 vodka handle called Vladamir), Vlad now sits in the evidence room of safety and security. Sometimes late at night... you could see people decend into the hole... filled with uncertainty, wondering what the mysterious hole had to offer them. Many minutes later... they would emerge.. with big joyful smiles on their face. It was a sanctuary to those people who shared the common love of pot. One fateful night, all that we had come to know and love was suddenly taken from us. A group of men, too fucked up and eager to smoke, made the drastic mistake of lighting up in the bathroom directly above the hole. Smoke, instead being kept in the timeless confines of vlad's home, bellowed out across the dorm. Safety and Security rushed to the seen, eager to catch the illusive vlad in action. He had evaded security for years in his underground safe haven. As I watched horrifically from the peephole in the quad across the hall, S and S ruthlessly raided the room. But how could they find the secret trap door?? Only the strongest and most worthy of men could open it. The betrayal came next, when a foolish girl relinquished the whereabouts. I couldnt beleive it as i saw vlad being raised out of the hole, the first light he had seen in years. I wanted to run out there and save him. After what seemed like hours of searching and interrogation, I decided to go to bed, struggling to fall asleep. As I look back on this day, I feel like a piece of me is gone. Vlad wasnt just a method of intoxicating me, he was my friend. My best friend. He was kind enough to invite all that were good and kind into his home. I had many a good day and night in the hole, and im sad to see it go. It was the major forging of me and dressel's friendship, and i owe it to vlad. Thanks man.... rest in peace..................... |
