The History Of Dragonball
Dragonball started back in or around 1984 as comic books created by Akira Toriyama.  After they became a hit, an animation company hired Akira and he started the TV Show which was called just Dragonball(Now seen on Cartoon Network).  Dragonball followed the exploits of Goku as a kid.  He meets Bulma sorta accidentally when she runs him over with her car.  She tells him about the legendary Dragonballs she's been searching for that will allow her to have one wish be granted(her's was to have the perfect boyfriend ugh).  Since Goku had one of them they traveled together looking for the Dragonballs(because Goku wouldn't give up his Dragonball, It was the only thing left to remember his Grandfather, whom he killed, though he didn't know that).  Anyway, along the way, they meet some familiar characters like Master Roshi, Oolong, Puar, Yamucha, Krillin and many others.

After Dragonball was over, Akira Toriyama took a coffee break and then went right to work on Dragonball Z(Japanese must drive a pretty hard contracts).  I don't think there's any meaning for adding the Z, he probably just wanted to spiff the name up.  This time the story would change course a little.  Gohan, Goku's youngest son has been born and finally everyone has discovered the secret of Goku's origin.  For you see, Raditz, Goku's brother has arrived from outer space and he knows that Goku is not Goku, but Kakarotto, his brother from Planet Vegeta.  Foku is actually a Saiyan who was sent to Earth to destroy it.  But somewhere along the line he forgot his mission.  Many conflicts occur in Dragonball Z.  With a wopping 290 some episodes this show shapes most of the story, and probably took a long time to create.  I believe that it wasn't until around 1994 or 1995 that the series were  finished,  think of how much of that time was put into DBZ.  Thus I will now explain Dragonball GT.

Rumor has it that Dragonball GT wasn't created by Akira Toriyama.  I heard that Akira quit the business but the company kept it going.  That is what I believe might be the reason that GT had only around 60 episodes, because maybe the animation company couldn't handle the working like Akira could.  Anyway, Dragonball GT starts off pretty much right after Pilaf wishes Goku to be a kid again with some mysteriously Black Starred Dragonballs.  Dende tells them that the Black Star Dragonballs are spread across the galaxy.  So Goku, Goten, Trunks and Pan(who sneaks in) get on a ship, and take off to find them.  There are many different thing that happen in this shotw but nowhere near as much as DBZ.  Overall though, it was probably my favorite because SSJ4 Goku looks sooo cool........

There you have it.  All three of the Dragonball shows explained in one big summary.  This is truly one of the best anime shows out there wouldn't you agree? Speaking of anime, Dragonball never actually started using animation till it's 9th movie I hear.  That's how hard it was to make cartoon shows 10 years ago.  God bless technology!
