Current Events

After losing the World Title to Hazard at Cruel and Unusual 3 it is no secret that Mark Payne retired from the FCW ring. While not retiring from the business on a whole, it does mean that we shall never see the Blonde Bastard on FCW Television again. Currently it is known that Payne is in the midsts of a no-compete clause that every wrestler has built into their contract in case of an event such as retirement. While the clause is moot since The Blonde Bastard was obviously looking for some time off anyways; the question is begged of what promotions are interested in picking up the premier name in all of the wrestling world? It is known that Payne has an offer on the table, but nothing is final. One thing is for sure: Payne intends on taking this entire summer to finally heal completely from the constant stress he put on his body and to evaluate his options as he does so. While the fans of the Blonde Bastard may want to see him in action now, there is no word as to when his self-imposed time away from the ring will end. Sources close to Payne say he is talking as if late fall or early winter may be a target date to return somewhere, but even that talk can not be proved or disproved. In the end we wait as the only man who really knows what he will do is somewhere out there enjoying himself as probably only he can.

Update!

Mark Payne has returned to the wrestling world, and he has chosen to return to Speed Racer's Anything Goes Wrestling. Re-debuting at AGW vs. The World, "The Blonde Bastard" revealed that he was behind a string of promos that had been seen on AGW TV since early June of this summer. This webpage has obtained the footage of his promo and it can be viewn here. From what you have just seen in that clip there can be no doubt that Payne is in rare form, and as always has his sights set on only one thing: the AGW World Title. We will have more to come as Payne continues onwards in his second run in the halls of the AGW!
