About MASCL

The Massachusetts Senior Classical League is an organization to promote the classics. We are the college-affiliate of the National Junior Classical League and part of the National Senior Classical League, both of which are under the supervision of the American Classical League. The membership is composed mostly of Massachusetts (and New England) college students.

MASCL's primary goal is to assist the Massachusetts JCL with their annual state convention. We also publish a newsletter, write Certamen questions and academic tests, and meet jovially once a month during the school year. At least one of these meetings takes place in Western Massachusetts, though most are in the Boston metropolitan area. Our fundraising efforts provide funds for members to attend the NJCL National Convention.
