Why Choose Reflexology?

Today, many people are choosing alternative health care methods in conjunction to their traditional health care with great success! When stress is not managed well the body begins to break down and become more susceptible to illness and disease. Reflexology reduces stress by generating deep tranquil relaxation, while stimulating the body systems. One of the easiest analogies is one of a dammed river. When the body systems become blocked or function improperly, toxins and waste matter build up. Reflexology helps to break-up the dam and allow the body to rid itself of these toxins.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient science in which pressure is applied to specific reflex points on the feet. Each reflex point is linked to each organ and system in the body. Stimulating these reflex points can help free blockages, while restoring energy and balance to the body in a natural/holistic way. The History of Reflexology From ancient text, illustrations and artifacts, we know that the principle of reflexology dates back to early Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Egyptian cultures. In the 1930's Eunice Ingham pioneered what is known as modern Reflexology.

What Can I Expect?

While reclining on a massage table, you will feel a gentle, relaxing pressure over the zones of your feet. Reflexology done correctly, is never painful and does not tickle. If a blockage is detected, the reflexologist may repeatedly work the area until relief is experienced. A typical session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
