The romeo and heart of the 4077th, Hawkeye probably dated every nurse  at the 4077th - (except for the married ones...he knew where to stop). Margaret and Kellye may have been the only exceptions - he asked Kellye in 'Hey, look me over', who turned him down...and Margaret always refused any advances -  stupid girl
Margaret Houlihan
Played by: Loretta Swit Occupation: Head Nurse
Too too special...so they have their
VERY OWN TRIBUTE PAGE

Carlye Breslin
Played by:
Blythe Danner  Occupation: Nurse
Probably Hawkeye's longest relationship. They lived together in Boston whilst Hawkeye was in Med School. She left him because Medicine was always the most important thing to him, and she was taking a backseat. They met up again whe she was assigned to the 4077th, started their relationship again , and she (yet again) left him because he still couldn't (or wouldn't) commit.

Inga
Played by:
Mariette Hartley Occupation: Doctor
Hawkeye was overly jealous when the Sweedish doctor Inga showed him up in OR and didn't like a woman who was smarter than him (he he- 1950's values). Over the time she was there they found they had much in common, but didn't get to do anything because she left the next day.

Kealani 'Kellye' Nakahara
Played by: Kellye Nakahara Occupation: Nurse
Kellye was probably the next 'main' nurse that was in M*A*S*H. Coming from a Hawaiian/Chinese background, she wasn't the typical Tall, blonde nurse that Hawkeye goes for - though she still as cute as a button! So, Hawkeye never went out with her. In the episode 'Hey, look me over', Kellye told Hawkeye just what she thought of him, and after he saw her comfort a dying man, he asked her out on a date. She kindly declined as she already had one! She planned on going home to Honolulu after the War.

Katie Bigelow
Played by: Enid Kent Occupation: Nurse
Probably my second favourite nurse (after Margaret of course), Bigelow was tall, attractive and knew how to put 2 and 2 together. She was a nurse during the end of WW2 and between wars, worked in Chicage. We saw them together in 'The Light that Failed' and in 'Potter's Retirement' after she had told Hawkeye she liked older men (he was dressed as Colonel Sanders for Kentucky Derby Day). In 'They Call the Wind Korea', Bigelow is injured and is operated on by Hawkeye, thus cancelling their date. When the War ended all Katie said was 'she had had it', and so we guess she quit nursing. She came 5th Season (?) till the end.

Maria Schriener (Dish)
Played by: Karen Philipp Occupation: Nurse
I never really liked this character...(becuase she seemed a real rivial to Margaret?) anyway, gorgeous as all hell, was the only reason Hawkeye liked her. She was engaged so it was only for fun. He did however rig the raffle so he went with Father Mulcahy - what a nice guy! Seen in 'The Pilot' and 'Germ Warfare'. She disappered 2nd Season.

Margie Cutler
Played By:
Marcia Strassman Occupation: Nurse
Seen in 'Requiem for a Lightweight', 'Bananas Crackers and Nuts?', 'Yankee Doodle Doctor' and 'Edwina' (one other I think), she was much the desire of Hawkeye (after Dish). Hawkeye and Trapper fought in a boxing match to get her back as Hotlips had her transferred...Trapper got her that time. When she was finally interested in Hawk, he was acting crazy and turned her down. She disappered 2nd Season (thank God).

Erica Johnston
Played by:
Joan Van Ark Occupation: Nurse
Seen in 'Radar's Report', she tried to help calm a patient who had a scalpel and ended up being injured. Hawkeye offered to be her doctor and so tried to 'play along' (groan bad pun I know). He saw a ring on her finger and immediately backed away. He discovered it was her Grandmothers, she was not married and continued with what he wanted to do, asking her to marry him (he wasn't serious). She transferred out by the end of the episode.

Nurse Mendenhal
Played By:
Shelley Long (yay - Diane!{from Cheers}) Occupation: Nurse
Seen in only in 'Bottle Fatigue', she went on a date with a very sober Hawkeye (hated him like that), which turned into a lecture on drinking - a nightmare. The thing I most like about her - SHE'S DIANE FROM CHEERS!!!

The many various Lt Nurses Played by Lynette Mettey
Seen in these episodes: ‘Sometimes you hear the Bullet’, ‘Sticky Wicket’, ‘Carry on Hawkeye’, ’The General Flipped at Dawn’, 'Some 38th Parallels'. Her many roles were basically all the same – blonde, cute, competent nurse, interest of Hawkeye. In her last appearance, Hawkeye had a ‘little problem’ (he was temporarily impotent), he managed to get over it and everything was peachy.

Edwina
Played By:
Arlene Golonka Occupation: Clumsy Nurse.
Seen in 'Edwina'. One klutz of a nurse who Hawkeye has to date when all the other nurses have gone on strike. Their date was quite memorable - she nearly kills him!

Kyung Soon
Played By:
Kieu Chinh Seen in 'In Love and War.' A Korean whom Hawkeye went to help, fell in love with her, her mother died and she and a bunch of orphans moved south.

Millie Carpenter
Occupation:
Nurse Talked about in 'Who knew?' She was dating Hawkeye, literally took a walk in the minefields and was killed. It was later discovered she had real feelings for Hawkeye in her diary, and he delivered her eulogy.

Marina
Played By:
Gail Edwards Occupation: Entertainer Seen in 'That's Showbiz'. Marina was with a USO Troupe and came into a spot of trouble when her appendix almost burst. Hawkeye operated on her and she fell for him. Being just a kid and his patient, Hawkeye didn't reciprocate and kept himself at a professional distance.

Nurse Gilmore: Mention in ‘The Winchester Tapes’ Hawkeye unsuccessfully tried to see her in Seoul.

'Sweet Preserves': Okay okay...so it was the entire nursing staff!

Various Other Nurses: Gage, Able, Baker, Murphy. He dated them once or twice.
