Sculpture Artist Mary Kuebelbeck utilizes the imagery of the Pacific Northwest with memories of her childhood. She grew up on a farm outside of Avon, a small rural town in central Minnesota. In her father's workshop, she learned how to use a welder and cutting torch rather than an eggbeater. Working with assorted metals and found objects, she challenges the mind of the viewer to see the beauty of an onion or the whimsical expression of a pig. In essence, her work is organic; her subject matter depicts living organisms both large and small.
