King Lear : A Study
King Lear is perhaps Shakespeare's most challenging play, but also its most exciting.  Many social issues that confront modern audiences fill the play:
dysfunctional families,
sibling rivalry,
neglect of parental responsibility,
abuse of the aged,
failure to provide for the needy, adulturous behavior,
political corruption,
spiritual confusion,
uncertainty regarding care for the mentally disturbed.
