| A SIMPLE DREAM |
| While sifting through the sands of time I came across a dream and as I looked it over it was such a simple thing It came from a true loving heart and asked for just one favor to find another just as true a love that they could savor I let the dream float through my mind so that I could taste the feeling and as it came into focus it was really quite revealing It seemed the dreamer really was not simple, but quite clever for the dream that they were dreaming was one that lasts forever You can have it in the best of times and when things may go amiss when it feels like you've nowhere to turn the dream still brings you bliss It's with you in the light of day and in the stillness of the night and as I stood there.... dreaming everything just felt so "right" I wondered why the dreamer could have left this dream behind and I was shocked when it first came to me that the dream.... well it was MINE But then understanding filled me and it came as no surprise for I realized I'd found my dream when I first looked in your eyes |
