I was born in Hays, Kansas on June 3, 1959 to John and Marietta Kohlrus.  I have twin brothers, Tim and Terry Kohlrus.  I am married to Gene Detrixhe, and we have three children, two daughters  and one son.  Jan. 3, 2001  our eldest daughter gave birth to twin girls.        I am currently working towards a BFA with an emphasis in ceramics and my projected graduation date is May 2002.  My Dream is to cultivate the Rising Moon Gallery in Russell, Kansas.  I hope to continue to create art and travel to enrich my life experience.
