Mary Allyson's Reading for Enjoyment and
Classical Story Archive Resource Page

Last site update: 3/03/2009

It was in high school where I got my first good introduction to many
of the classics of American and English literature. There was no searching
the internet then writing a "cut and paste" report.
You read the book, wrote the report "longhand", and then hoped the good
sisters were satisfied. (they usually were not)

I hope you share this pleasureable experience; reading the stories
that is without the nuns or the book reports.

Reading is one of the most rewarding and intellectual endevours that a
person can engage in. It can take you to the heights of ecstacy or to
the depths of dispair. It can take you on fantastic adventures to far
distant lands. Reading can open the world of fantasy and magic and leave
you spell-bound, nothing is barred except by the limits of your imagination.

Try it. Search the internet. There is a wealth of material available and
it is all generally free. I will offer my small portion here on this site.
These are some of my favorites.

Enjoy, Mary. -- Oh, and remember, there is always your local library.

There is a lot of work maintaining and formatting a website such as this. My reward for this work is in reading my viewers comments regarding the site and it's content. I would be very pleased if you would take the time to sign my guestbook and leave even the briefest comment. Without such input from my readers doubts arise about the effort to maintain this site or if anyone is even reading the stories.

If you like this resource and would like it to continue then please sign the guestbook. It costs you nothing but a few moments of your time but means so a great deal to me. Thank you - Mary
