Character Profile

Lenneth Valkyrie
“Was I choosing souls... as though I was picking flowers?”
Class: Chooser of the Slain
Race: Aesir
Age: 23 (Midgard)
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Valhalla
Intro: One of the 3 Goddesses of Fate whose role it is to decide a person’s fate after death. A mid–level Goddess of the 6th rank, her true name is Lenneth Valkyrie.
Mythology: The Valkyrie are warlike virgins, mounted upon horses and armed with helmets and spears. odin, who is desirous to collect a great many heroes in Valhalla, to be able to mee the giants when the final contest must come, sends the Valkyries down to every battlefield to make choice of those who shall be slain. The Valkyrie are his messengers, and their name means “Choosers of the Slain.” When they ride forth on their errands, their armour sheds a strange flickering light, which flashes up over the Northern skies, making what men call the Aurora Borealis, or “Northern Lights.” The name Lenneth is not actually a Valkyrie name, the only real Valkyrie in Valkyrie Profile would be Hrist, since her name is recorded as a Valkyrie name. Is may be that Lenneth represents the middle Norn Sister Verdandi, the Goddess of the Present and the Goddess of Fate. There is no direct connection between the two, but since Hrist and Silmeria seem to fit the profiles of Urd and Skuld, it would seem likely that Lenneth is like Verdandi. Valkyrie is a combination of the cold battle maiden Hrist, and the romantic Silmeria, making her the more stable Valkyrie and most likely the one that is trusted by Odin most.
Indepth:
Before becomming a Goddess, Lenneth’s real name was Platina. She lived in a poor village, and her parents were going to sell her to slave traders in order to make money. However, she escaped the village with her childhood love: Lucian. They escaped the village and entered Weeping Lilly Meadow, a dangerous place with poisonous pollen. Once Plantina was poisoned, she died in Lucian’s arms and was taken to Valhalla by Odin. Together with Freya, Odin sealed Platina̱s memories and trained her to be a Warrior Valkyrie. When she’s not needed, she is put into a long sleep. After her awakening, she is ordered to go down to Midgard and collect souls as warriors for the Aesir (the Gods), in order to win the battle of Ragnarok. During her travels she meets Lucian again, and something inside her tells her that she remembers something. She sends Lucian to Asgard, but before he goes up, he asks to be taken back to the village where he grew up with Platina. She agrees, and Lucian takes her to see all the places that they saw when they ran away as children. Then they come upon the Weeping Lilly Meadow where Platina died. She did not really know why, but something inside Lenneth felt different, and she kissed Lucian before he was sent to Asgard. Not long after that, Lucian is killed by Loki, who uses Lucian’s desire to see Lenneth and coerces him into using the Water Mirror. Before that happens, Lucian sends Lenneth one of Platina’s earrings, and tells Lenneth to go look for the other one. At first Lenneth is angry because Lucian used such a holy device to send an earring, but when she hears of Lucian’s death, she is greatly troubled. She travels to the Weeping Lilly Meadow and finds Platina’s other earring. All of her memories come back now, and the seal that Odin and Freya put on her breaks. However, instead of Lenneth being free, her soul is replaced by that of Hrist, her older sister, as a safety precaution by Freya. Lenneth is now trapped in her own body and cannot manifest herself. When Hrist tries to kill Arngrim and Mystina, Lenneth’s spirit breaks free and she puts her spirit between Hrist and her friends. Lenneth’s soul is then shattered, but Mystina saves her by crystalizing her soul’s fragments. Lezard transfers the remainders of her soul to a homonculus, a man made lifeform, and then travels to Brahm’s castle in order to find Hrist and bring back Lenneth’s original vessel. After having beaten Hrist, Lezard and Mystina take the soul and vessel and merge them as one again. Lenneth is now back to normal, but her human memories all come back, and she is left in dispair about her true reason for existance and her grief for Lucian becomes overwhelming. She travels to Asgard for answers, only to find that Valhalla has already been destroyed by Loki and his minions. After talking to Frei, she goes to see Freya. She is enraged about Freya’s reluctance to help the people in Midgard, and doesn’t understand why the Goddess of Love can be so heartless and devoid of human emotion. She then leaves to find Loki, the creature that caused the death of the only man she can love. Her fusion with the homonculus from Lezard gave Lenneth the power of Creation, and after the battle with Loki, in which she slew him, she was able to restore all the worlds to their former glory. The world was reborn, the Valkyrie became the Lord of Creation, and Lucian was there again by her side, to be happy for eternity.

Arngrim
“Lombert! I’m going to kill you!”
Class: Heavy Knight/Merc
Race: Human
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Artolia
Intro: A mercenary from the Artolia region. Blessed with a true warrior’s prowess and a good measure of luck, his sword–fighting technique is unmatched. In battle, he fights as a demon possessed, slicing through foes like a scythe through ripe wheat.
Indepth:
After saving his platoon from being destroyed by monsters, Arngrim is rewarded by the King. But Arngrim doesn’t want the King’s petty gifts and makes a fool out of him, angering the young Princess Jelanda. A few days later, Arngrim is hired by someone from the Assassins guild to deliver some cargo to Villnore. Not knowing what the cargo is, Anrgrim accepted the mission for a high price. During the mission, they are caught by Artolian Knights who want to inspect the cargo; which turns out to be the unconscious Princess Jelanda herself! The Knights gave her a potion that was given to them by Minister Lombert, however, the potion turned out to be Ghoulpowder, which turns humans into screeching demons. Minister Lombert was playing two hands: he was working as a Villnore spy, hoping to deliver the Princess to the enemy, if the mission was a success, no problem, but if the cargo was stopped, Lombert made sure they would use the potion on the Princess; resulting in the death of all. Arngrim is saved by Lenneth and Freya, and then returns to Castle Artolia, looking for Lombert. No soldier is able to stand before Arngrim as he marches towards his target. But Lombert’s magic is too powerful and Arngrim doesn’t stand a chance alone. Luckily, Lenneth and Freya come once again to slay the evil Necromancer. Lenneth then gives Arngrim an option to redeem himself and come with her to Valhalla to fight for the Gods. Arngrim kills himself and his soul is taken by Lenneth.
Arngrim has a younger brother called Roland, who appears to be disabled and can hardly walk. After Arngrim’s death, Roland is thrown in prison. Arngrim is also good friends with Lawfer and Kashell, who are also Artolian Knights. Later on in the story, Arngrim is rejected by Freya to become an Einherjar, and is forced to remain with Lenneth. Together with Mystina and Lezard, Arngrim fights against Hrist to recover Valkyrie’s body and return her spirit.
Voice Actor: Adam Blauestein

Goddess Freya
“Fate can indeed be a cruel mistress...”
Class: Giver of Life
Race: Aesir
Age: 26 (Midgard)
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Valhalla
Intro: Venerated as the Goddess of Fertility, Freya appears as a beautiful young blonde woman. However, she is second only to Odin in terms of true power, commanding power over Life as well as Death.
Mythology: Goddess of fertility and love. She is the patron Goddess of crops and birth, the symbol of sensuality and was called upon in matters of love. She loves music, spring and flowers, and is particularly fond of the elves. She was originally one of the Vanir. She was the daughter of Njord, and the younger sister of Frey. her daughters, by Od, are named Hnoss, who is so beautiful that whatever is valuable and love is named “treasure” after her, and Gersemi. She had a husband named Od, whom she lost and cried golden tears for. Many believe that Od is actually Odin. She lived in Castle Folkvang and each day chose half of the slain warriors to split with Odin. She owns Hildesvini (battle boar) which is actually her human lover Ottar in disguise. In her Castle, love songs are always played, and her hall, Sessrumnir is where woman go when they die. Her chariot was drawn by male cats and she owned the precious Brisings’ necklace, which she aquired by having sex with four dwarfs. She also used a feather coat to change into a falcon and fly between the clouds. Some sources say that Friday is named after her.
Indepth:
Freya controls the supply on Einherjar that is used for the coming war with the Vanir. She is Lenneth’s boss and regularly gives her missions and requirements. Freya is feared for her power, and occasionaly travels to Midgard if something needs to be done firmly. When Loki takes the Dragonorb and kills Lucian, Freya is suspicious about Loki’s explanation. However, Odin does not want her involved, and Freya is powerless to do anything, which ultimately leads to the death of Odin. See is seen in the Palace of the Dragon to cast judgement on Gandar but she is probably also there to see if Loki had been there. When Loki attacks Valhalla, Freya stands between him and Odin. However Odin does not want her involved again, so she is forced to watch the battle in which Odin dies. The difference between Freya and Lenneth is that Freya is unable to care or cry for the misery of those in Midgard. Her status as a Goddess and her heritage as a Vanir changed her way of feeling, and her feelings cannot be considered human like Lenneth’s.
Voice Actor: Veronica Taylor

Jelanda
“10,000 deaths are not good enough for you!”
Class: Soceress/Princess
Race: Human
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Artolia
Intro: First Princess of Artolia. Behind her pure, sweet image lies a pampered princess with a heart of steel and a razor–sharp tongue.
Indepth:
Jelanda has a hard time coping with the pressure of being royalty, and often gets enraged when things don’t go well. When the Mercenary Arngrim insulted her father publicly, she devised a scheme to punish him. She disguised herself as one of the Assassin’s guild’s proprietors, and went to see Arngrim about a contract. She didn’t plan her actions too well though, and she passed out from the Sake she drank at the restaurant. When Arngrim took her to his house, her hat fell off and her sleep–talking betrayed her indentity. Arngrim didn’t do anything, and Jelanda left the next morning to think of something else.
However, the Minister Lombert was a spy for the rival nation Villnore, and he had the Princess drugged and shipped out by two mercenaries to be brought to Villnore. The carriage however, was discovered by Artolian Knights. To make sure that nobody would survive in case the mission went wrong, Lombert had given the Knights a potion to use for if the Princess was unconscious. The potion however, was Ghoulpowder that turned Jelanda into a demon. She was killed by Lenneth and Freya, and her soul was taken to Asgard where she became an Einherjar.
Voice Actor: Rachel Lillis

Belenus
“How is choosing a servant any different from picking a flower? Being picked was this flower’s destiny.”
Class: Swordsman/Headguard
Race: Human
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Gerabellum
Intro: A nobleman holding a high office in Gerabellum. With his power of leadership he earned the loyalty of knights and commoners alike. He stands for fairness and justice in a corrupt and decadent system.
Indepth:
Belenus was part of the Garabellium army that waged war against Artolia. While living in Lassen, his father was killed in battle, and sometime later his wife also died. When he was young, his maid Maria had brought home a young Yamato servant called Asaka, and although he was scolded, Maria and Belenus were allowed to educate and raise her in the mansion. Over time, it is possible that Belenus fell in love with Asaka. After his wife’s death, a vampire puts a curse on the household and kills Asaka. Belenus is too late to stop it from hapenning, and asks Lenneth if there is anything he can do. In order to save Asaka, he gives his own soul to Lenneth. When Asaka rises from the dead, Belenus is now part of the Einherjar.
According to the game, the vampire was sent by a certain Lady Beliza. There is no idication in the rest of the game that she is an enemy or even a real character. It could be that she is Belenus’ dead wife, who turned into an undead and is now taking the lives of others. Since Belenus loves Asaka, it might be the reason why she was killed and not Belenus. Wether or not this is true is just speculation.
Voice Actor: Ed Paul

Llewelyn

His true love, Millia was left all alone from then on. Before leaving for the war, Millia had taken him to the forest to listen to the rustling leaves. “When the wind blows just right, it sounds like waves lapping on a shore.” She said, knowing that Llewelyn would be sent to sea. After his death, Millia’s mother wanetd to arrange a marriage for her, but she would not go through with it, because she would never betray her love for Llewelyn. Before going off to serve Lenneth as an Einherjar, Llewelyn appears to Millia in the forest, and promises to watch over her forever.

Lawfer
“Father...I’m glad you gave me a name that starts with “law”. Although it might not be the kind of law my father intended.”
Class: Spearman/Knight
Race: Human
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Artolia
Intro: A young soldier from Artolia following in the footsteps of his knightly father. From a noble lineage, Lawfer had to fight against the expectations placed on him as well as struggling to compete with the more skilled Arngrim.
Indepth:
A friend of Kashell, Celia and Arngrim, as well as the young son of a repected Knight Captain. When Arngrim killed Lombert, Lawfer’s father tried to reason with him, but Arngrim did not raise a sword against him and committed suicide. Apparently, Lawfer and Arngrim had been students under Lawfer’s father for quite some time. Though skilled, he is not up to Arngrim’s level of fighting and continues to put himself down.
After Arngrim’s death, Lawfer questions the events that took place, and takes pity for the young Roland, whom is now imprisoned due to his brother’s actions. He talks to Celia and Kashell before he goes on a mission, though it is not really clear what his mission is. I suspect that he freed Roland, and then committed suicide, but that will remain a mystery since the last part of his story is completely missing.
On a different note, Lawfer is one of the most popular bishounen from Valkyrie Profile, and the story slightly hints to him having strong feelings towards Arngrim. I guess it is left to the player’s imgination as to what those feelings are.
Voice Actor: Adam Blauestein

Indepth:
Nanami was adopted when the daughter of the Shinto priest, Minayo had already died. Nanami inherited Minayo’s duties, and also learned that she would have to perform the ritual of ascension in order to inherit the family’s true power. However, she is not of the same blood, and she has no hope of being able to perform the ritual and live to tell the tale. When confronted with the spirit of Minayo in the Dragon Cave, Nanami begs Lenneth to allow her to take Minayo’s place, so that Minayo could inherit the power that is rightfully hers. He stumbles back to the Villnore Inn after being mortally wounded by an assasin. There, the Lady Valkyrie comes to claim his soul, however, it was not Odin who wanted his soul, but Hel the Queen of Nifleheim. In order to save his soul, Badrach has to dig deep into his memories to find something good in himself. He once saved a young slave from being sold off, and he returned her to the Orphanage in Villnore. Lenneth has pity for Badrach, and allows him to come with her and fight for the Gods.

After Loki stole the Dragon Orb in Asgard, he also went to the Dragon Palace in Midgard to steal the Dragon Orb there. Gandar is also there, but he is too late as the Dragon Orb was already gone. He searched a long time and eventually found the Philosopher’s stone, a stone that is said to contain all the wisdom of the world. However, the stone is really a ten billion page codex that must be read. In doing so, Lezard was able to master ancient Magicks, disspell Runes and command the art of Necromancy. He used his old teacher Lorenta as a bait for his new plan. He turned her husband into a Demon and had him kill her to lure the Lady Valkyrie. He wanted to make a homonculus, a mand made lifeform for Lenneth, so that he could help her become stronger. However Lenneth is furious and defeats Lezard; she also destroys the homoculi in Lezard’s Tower. Later on though, when Lenneth is replaced by Hrist and her soul is shattered, Lezard urges Mystina to freeze her soul temporarily untill they can do a soul transfer. The only suitable vessel for Lenneth though is the homonculus that Mystina had stolen from Lezard before. This is only temporary though, and Lenneth’s real vessel had to be brought back. Lezard accompanied Arngrim and Mystina to get the vessel back from Hrist. After defeating her, they bring back the vessel and merge it with the Lenneth in the homonculus. The result though, was that Lenneth’s human blood was now mixed with that of the Elves and the Aesir, making her incredibly powerful. Eventually, because of this, Lenneth learns the power of creation, and restores the world from its ashes. Lezard had already gotten rid of his human body and still has his eye set on one day having Lenneth as his own Goddess of Love...
Voice Actor: Adam Blaustein

Odin
“Ragnarok, the end of the world, is drawing near.”
Class: All–father
Race: Half human, half Aesir
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Valhalla
Intro: A father to all Aseir Gods who attempt to govern the world. He learned that Ragnarok, the end of the cosmos, would occur because of battles between Vanir Gods and Aseir Gods. Because of this, he made an order to Valkyrie to collect human souls who have enough capacity to support Odin’s military troops for his preparation for the Sacred War. He is equipped with the divine spear Gugnir which is said to give its master, the ability to accumulate an overwhelming army force which will give him a significant advantage in the final battle with Surt, King of the Vanir Gods. Freya, Valkyrie and his other enemies are merely pieces of a board game.
Mythology: Odin, the father of all Aesir Gods, created the human world Midgard and the human race with his two brothers. He is called Wodan in Germanic (Tutonic) mythology, and is the husband of Freya, and also the lover of Skadi, Freya’s stepmother. Odin was a God of battle, and was known to be quite fierce. He made men into berserkers, and waged many wars agains the Vanir and the Giants. His quest for knowledge was quiete extreme, he hung himself from his spear on the World Tree Yggdrasil to learn about the ancient Runes, and he offered one of his eyes to Mimir, the God of Wisdon, in order get a drink of the Well of Wisdom. His wisdom was enough for him to become the ruler of all Gods. He ruled from the great halls in Valhalla, the place where all the men chosen by the Valkyries would go after their death, all women would go to Freya’s hall. Odin was a might spear, Gugnir that never misses a target, and a ring called Draupnir, which made golden eggs. He rides an eight–legged horse called Sleipnir, which was in fact the child of Loki and a mysthical giant horse. He had two ravens, Hugin and Munin, that flew out every day to report on what is happening in Midgard and the other worlds. Odin is a rather feared deity, and is often represented as a somber old man rather than a vigorous young God will great power. Odin is not worshipped much by the common folk, and even Vikings prefer Odin’s son Thor because of his power. Odin is destined to die at Ragnarok, the end of the World.
Indepth:
Odin does not appear that much in the game. At the end of the game, when Loki steals the Dragonorb and starts the attack on Asgard, starting Ragnarok, Odin battles with Loki. However, just like in Mythology, Odin dies in that battle.
Voice Actor: Ken Gates

Loki
“I believe that this next era will not be governed by power alone, but by justice. And yet, for the meting out of justice, power is required...”
Class: Low Level God
Race: Half Aesir, half Vanir
Age: Unknown
Gender: Not fixed
Birthplace: Valhalla
Intro: A low rank god that was born as a cross between the Aesir Gods and their enemies, the Vanir Gods. Because of his blood, both Gods regard him as heretical and disfavor him. What can he do? He is innocent, even if his birth itself was a sin. Since being under the control of Odin, he has started to brighten up. However, we wonder if he is really himself, or if he has disguised himself in order to hide his true feelings. The harmful acts which the gods did to him are too serious to be forgiven.
Mythology: Loki is a rather complicated figure in Mythology. He is often seen as the cruel jester who gets the Gods in trouble. During his travels with both Odin and his son Thor, Loki came into many difficult situations. Often times, he would have to do something for the Giants, but his loyalty to the Aesir would force him to trick the Giants. Because of this, many of the giants were killed, including the father of Skadi, who later wed Njord, the father of Freya. Loki is therefore the instigator of many problems, but also the one who solves it and saves the day. He also aquires many artifacts and items for the Gods. He got the hammer Myolnir for Thor, the spear Gugnir for Odin, and the Golden Boar for Freya. Even Odin’s ring Draupnir was given to him by Loki, whom had won it from a dwarf. His ability to change shapes and genders has allowed him to peform many feats oh heroism, but it also lead to many problems and many unsuspected changes. Loki himself is the father, and mother of many mythical beings. He had two sons with his wife Sigyn, Nare and Vale, and he had thee children with the Giantess Angrboa: Fenrir, Jormungandr and Hel. He has also conceived a foal with the stallion Svailfare, Sleipnir, and lastly he has given birth to the giantess Hyndla after having eaten the burnt heart of a dead woman. Fenrir, a wolf, played an important part in the last battle between the Aesir and the Vanir. Hel became Goddess of the Underworld and collects and army of undead to wage war against the Gods. Jormungandr the snake bites his own tail at the end of the world, and stands for cosmological order.
Indepth:
Loki is the one who kills Lucian and then steals the Dragonorb from Valhalla; hiding it on Midgard through the use of the Water Mirror. Odin has no proof that Loki was involved with the disappearance of the Dragonorb, because Loki blames Lucian. Loki then goes to Surt, lord of the Vanir to offer his power. Surt however refuses to ally himself with Loki and his demons. Loki kills Surt and then starts the attack on Asgard. He kills Odin in a duel and then retreats. When confronted with Lenneth, Loki’s body and soul are forever torn asunder as she unleashes her rage upon on him.
Voice Actor: Ed Paul

Hrist
“You will obey me now.”
Class: Chooser of the Slain
Race: Aesir
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Valhalla
Mythology: The Valkyrie are warlike virgins, mounted upon horses and armed with helmets and spears. odin, who is desirous to collect a great many heroes in Valhalla, to be able to mee the giants when the final contest must come, sends the Valkyries down to every battlefield to make choice of those who shall be slain. The Valkyrie are his messengers, and their name means “Choosers of the Slain.” When they ride forth on their errands, their armour sheds a strange flickering light, which flashes up over the Northern skies, making what men call the Aurora Borealis, or “Northern Lights.” Hrist is one of the Valkyries that is mentioned by name, however, it seems more likely that she is a representation of the Goddess Urd. The three Goddess that govern destiny, the Norn sisters, are a different myth in Norse mythology. The elder Goddess Urd was the goddess of the past, Verdandi, her middle sister was the Goddess of the present, and her younger sister Skuld was the Goddess of the future. Skuld was another name for a Valkyrie, and it seems that in Valkyrie Profile, the three Valkyries take over the duties of the Norn sisters. In this context, the valkyrie Hrist, who is the older sister, would be compared to Urd. It is also possible that Hrist represents the first version of the Valkyries from the Eddas (the source of Norse mythology). She is a war like Valkyrie clad in the black armor of death, who disregards human emotions. Whereas her youngest sister Silmeria is a representation of the maiden warriors and more romantic myths, since she is presented as a soft spoken individual with long blond hair and light blue armor. Lenneth would be in the middle of both Hrist and Silmeria, and would be the perfect Valkyrie.
Indepth:
One of the three Valkyrie souls, Hrist originally died fighting Brahms. Her own vessel was thus lost, and her youngest sister Silmeria was captured by Brahms and kept in a crystal. She commanded many succesful attacks in the name of the Gods, in particular the attack on Dipan, where she destroyed a time machine and killed King Barbarossa. It is still a mistery to me how Mystina and Arngrim were there in the battle of Dipan and the battle against Brahms. When the seal that Freya and Odin put on Lenneth breaks, they use the soul of Hrist to replace her. Hrist’s soul however does not belong in that vessel and her powers are weak. She is defeated by Arngrim, Mystina, Lezard and Brahms, and is sent back to rest again.
Voice Actor: Edie Mirman

Brahms
“You are but a puppet of Odin.”
Class: Leader of the Undead
Race: Vampire
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Unknown
Intro: King of the Vampires and Lord of the Undead, he has fought many battles against Odin. He has taken the spirit of Silmeria, one of the Three Goddesses of Fate, but his sense of honor prevents him from ever harming his hostage.
Mythology: There is no record of any Brahms or Vampire Lord in Norse Mythology. He only leader of the Undead is acclaimed as Hel, daughter of Loki and Queen of Nifleheim. Silmeria, the younger of the Three Valkyries, probably represents the youngest of the Norn sisters Skuld. She represents the maiden like messengers, and is a total contrast of Hrist. It could be that Brahms loves Silmeria, like how Brynhild loved Sigurd in the Poetic Eddas.`
Indepth:
Brahms does not appear in the story a whole lot. Before Lenneth traveled to Midgard, he fought the Valkyrie Hrist. I could be that he slew Hrist’s vessel, as well as capturing Hrist’s younger sister Silmeria. He keeps Silmeria’s soul in a crystal in his palace. His palace, on an island west of the Gerbabellum coast can only be seen at full moon for a short time. After Hrist takes control of Lenneth’s vessel, she returns to the Castle to rescue Silmeria and kill Brahms. However because she is not in her own vessel she is badly beaten. After that, Brahms continues to live in his castle, away from mortals and keeping Silmeria as his trump card...
Voice Actor: Ken Gates

Frei
“I’ve been waiting for you, Lenneth!”
Class: Aesir Goddess
Race: Aesir
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Unknown
Intro: Goddess of the Aseir Gods whose elder sister is Goddess Freya. She governs the destruction of all beings, although her power is sealed. She is quite cheerful and has an eloquent look. She treats Lenneth, like Freya; as her real elder sister. She looks like a human girl, but her innocent acts and behaviors are sometimes cruel. Therefore, she possibly embodies God himself.
Mythology: Frei or Freyr, is the son of Njord and the older brother of Freya. God of light, rain, fertility and prosperity, like his sister and father he was once Vanir and became an Aesir during his time as hostage. He resided in Alfheim and was either ruler or patron god of the elves. Freyr has three companions, his servants, Byggvir and Beyla, and his shield–bearer, Skirnir. He married the Giantess Gerd, and had a son called Fiolnir. At Ragnarok, Freyr will fight Surt, the Fire Giant, and will die because he in unarmed. Freyr is mainly a popular deity in Sweden, but he is worshipped in parts of Norway and Finland as well.
Indepth:
When Lucian is send to Asgard, Frei finds him lost in though in a valley of Weeping Lillies. When she asks why he is so upset, they talk about Lenneth and her role; as well as her former life as Plaltina. Frei is not supposed to reveal those secrets, and because of Lucian’s desire he is ysed in Loki’s scheme. When Loki attacks Asgard, Frei is one of the few Gods that remains alive. She tells Lenneth what happened and is left behind as Lenneth goes to deal with loki.
Voice Actor: Cathy Cavadini

Platina
“I just want to forget...forget...it all.”
Class: Village Girl
Race: Human
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Coriander Village
Intro: A girl born in a poor village located in the alpine area inside Villenore territory. The birth of a boy who earns his keep is welcome, but the birth of a girl who will consume precious food is frowned upon by the poor people of this village, who don’t have enough contact with outside people. Because of this, young girls are usually sold to slave traders in exchange for money, and she was no exception. On the day before she was delivered to the slave trader, however, her childhood boyfriend Lucian took her by the hand and they ran away from the village together. It was the only way a powerless boy could save her, but was a shortsighted endeavor, and ended with the death of the girl.
Indepth:
After her death in the Weeping Lilly Meadow, her body, her vessel, was taken by the Goddess Freya to Valhalla. She was made the new Valkyrie, possibly because Hrist was defeated by Brahms, and because Silmeria was captured. She was given her new identity as Lenneth Valkyrie, and given the rank of a level six Goddess. However, Freya sealed the memories of Platina, and gave Lenneth a completely blank life. Later on, when Lenneth meets Lucian and experiences grief for his death, she goes back to Platina’s grave to find answers. The seal of Freya breaks, and her memories return. However, Lenneth is temporarily locked away by Hrist. After Hrist is defeated by Brahms, Lenneth regains her memories of Platina completely and understands her life to the full. Platina’s memories and human emotions are the catalyst for Lenneth’s great empathy with the Midgardians, and the root of her new found powers of creation.
