Web Development
Update: I am no longer doing paid web design. This is a showcase of
what I've done in the past. Content on these sites may have changed since
this was last updated, but they're all still there.
For those of you interested in my services,
this is your page. This is my showcase for past accomplishments in web
design and development. Over the last few years, I have maintained this site
as an outlet for my own interests and hobbies, though it has now taken on a
more representative role of my hobbies and abilities.
This page is a display of what I've done.
There's only 5 things currently, but I have a description with each, and
will update this as more jobs become available to me. This site is not
included because, well hell, it's self explanatory.
The
Airport Raceway
Official Site
|
The Home of the Airport Raceway in
Garden City, KS. Updated fairly regularly during the season, the
site features weekly results, points, news, driver rosters,
profiles, and occasionally some photos to gawk at. Also features two
styles of forums to keep people connected to each other in an
informal manner. This was my first serious site redesign featuring a
seamless look on a table-based, imagemap setup.

Engineers

This site was my first
paid site to be designed from total scratch. I spent upwards of 6
hours creating the basic color scheme and layout, let alone the
entire thing. Roughly 40 hours went into the final design, and
after that, much of it was based off of simple template
replication and saving (I like how I make up my own terminology
for this crap). Made for an electrical engineering firm in
Centennial, CO, this is probably my most prominent work, as it's
not in the state of Kansas for once, and it hopefully will be a
well traveled site in the near future. I am currently working on a
flash-based intro for it. Any ideas for that?

Real
Drums
|
This is my
current development project. I have been working on this most of
the time for my web stuff when I am not working on this site. I
have created two small screenshots of the site, as there were
originally two different designs. However, the top one if the one
currently in use, the bottom was the initial design. In a little
while, this site will undergo a second redesign utilizing
cascading style sheets (CSS), which prior to this, I have never
worked with. This features multiple areas of constant update,
including news, a PHP forum, and concert/tour listings for both
local and nationals acts. Check this site out, it really kicks.
Look for a great revamp in the very near future.

Summel.net
|
A small web portal that
I work on with a friend in Hays, this features certain news bits
from various news sites (MSNBC, CNN, etc.), a forum, and other
features (web links, downloads, personal journals, etc.).
Completely PHP database-driven, this is a form of PHP called Nuke,
which is the basic PHP code with "aftermarket" mods
thrown in to add other features not included in the standard
phpBB2 download. I have used this to gain knowledge of PHP to a
small extent to at least know how to set the stupid thing up.
Check it out.
