This is our “recipe” for restoring our nation to the people and making our central government more accountable to the people .

1) Making tax cuts and relief permanent.
-When Americans have seen their taxes reduced, they have naturally used those savings to help stimulate the economy through purchases and also by saving for future challenges. We need to realize that the tax money belongs to the people and what is theirs should be returned to them in the most expeditious manner possible

2) Reduce Dependency on foreign oil, thusly reigning in outrageous gas prices
-We have to understand that the more foreign oil we bring in, there are inherent prices that are passed on to us during the process, by utilizing our national resources and finding those fossil fuels within our borders we reduce those costs and are no longer held hostage by  the robber barons of OPEC and the multinational oil companies

3) Oppose amnesty for illegal aliens and move for the recognition of English as our  language
-a 2007 study calculated approximately 38 million illegal aliens here in the US. They are streaming in because of possible amnesty if they make it across the border. Amnesty is not the answer. Enforcement is the only way the issue will be resolved. And when a person legally makes an attempt for American citizenship they must truly assimilate into our society by accepting that English is the language that is the standard and end all upon entry.

4)  Elimination of  No Child Left Behind Legislation
-Our school districts around the nation are being penalized and being stifled by the one size fits all legislation that is NCLB. Rural districts are being held to the same standards as urban districts that don’t match their diversity or make up. We must return the oversight back to the individual states and allow the power to return to the individual districts and allow
Educators to do their job-teach our future leaders.

5) Support the Military
-We must stand behind the sailors, soldiers, marines, and airmen who defend our freedoms on a daily basis. They are the fabric of the blanket of freedom that we all sleep soundly under. In the Global War on Terror we must give the military the tools and the wherewithal to have a strategy for victory and not a plan for failure and surrender by giving them unrealistic withdrawal dates before the job is done.

6) Reign in  the Federal Deficit
-our current federal debt is about 9.4 trillion dollars, which equates to about thirty thousand dollars per man, woman and child in the country. This out of control debt can be curtailed by sending many programs that are currently under the stewardship of the federal government back to the states. Naturally there must be some federal oversight to make sure minimum requirements are met and also to prevent fraud, abuse and wasteful spending.  Again, we must return the money to the people and its better served through their own individual states.

7) Opening the “Federal Books” to eliminate wasteful spending

-when a private citizen has spending issues, they normally call in an auditor or accountant to help them find ways to eliminate spending problems. We must hold our government to the same accountability. By bringing in outside financial professionals we will have an unbiased analysis of governmental spending habits and true solutions to eliminate boondoggle and pork barrel spending so again we will have financial solvency.

8) Israel being treated as a true ally

-In the Middle East and beyond we have had no greater ally than the Israelis. As such we should  admit Israel  to the NATO alliance, thus placing them under the protection umbrella and sending a clear and defined message to those who would do our friends harm that they will face the might and wrath of a united international front.

9) True Border and Homeland Security
-in 2006 a Hezbollah terror cell that was smuggling agents across our southern border was busted by the FBI, and in more recent history, there was the suspected plot to attack the Army base at Fort Dix,NJ. Three of the suspected six fanatics were in our country illegally. On the heels of 9/11, it should be apparent that border security is a national security issue and as such needs to be treated that way. Which is why the Border Patrol should be moved out of Homeland Security and seconded to the Department of Defense and our border should be defended as we do our sovereign territories around the globe.

10) Basic Health Insurance Initiatives and not Socialized Medicine

-When federal government goes into the healthcare business the private citizens suffer and the quality of medicine diminishes. We must make access to basic health insurance available for our citizens and provide additional help to those who can’t afford it.
