G. Newton 44, B. Hutchison 27*, E. Conlon 2-39. The Vue put on another good batting performance to reach 149 in their 15 overs with Graeme leading the way this time with a fluent 44. The next highest scorer was extras with 35 also Bruce (27 not out), Scotty (19) and Martin (15 not out) contributed to a decent total. After Mark Lemon was caught in the deep early on by Jez, the Vue bowled well enough to keep CUP behind the required rate right up to the 13th over when they needed 29 off 24 balls. Bob was extremely efficient conceding just 17 off almost 4 overs and Ched also bowled well (2-39 off 4) and also picked up the satisfying wicket of ex-Miltom player Dav Ball as he wandered across his stumps once too often and was bowled leg peg. However in the 13th over new batsman Walter-Smith decided to tee off on Mark's bowling and after a 26 run over the game was all over bar the shouting and the winning blows were duely applied in the following over. 2006 Fixture listAll fixtures are in Division 1 of the Cambridge Business House League unless stated otherwise.
