Martin J. Buss.
Professor Buss received his B.A. from Bloomfield College, B.D. and Th.M. from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Yale. His specialty is Hebrew Bible, with particular interest in integrating that topic thoroughly with other fields, so that biblical scholarship both learns from and contributes to the others. He has presented a theory of prophecy in The Prophetic Word of Hosea (1969) and has chaired task forces on form-critical method and on law within the Society of Biblical Literature. Interpretation theory and law constitute his current primary emphases. |
