Features

Below are some descriptions of the many features available in Marks...

The Simplest Interface in Mark Book History

List all the classes you teach in the classes table.
View and edit the students, tasks or the details of the chosen class.
Keep informed with the statistics, comments or details of a selected student or task.
Customise the layout of Marks to suit your needs.

Marks sports a smart, logical and pleasant user interface which provides you quick access to all your classes, students and tasks, in a style keeping true to everyday programs you use such as the Finder and iTunes. No unpleasant user interface like all the other Mark Book programs. No overload of text all over the screen. Simplicity while gaining efficiency. Once you use Marks, you'll wonder why you put up with the interface of other Mark Book programs!

Helping You Get On With Things

Marks saves you time that can be spent getting other things done. Students and tasks can be dragged and dropped into other classes. Classes and tasks can also be easily duplicated, saving you the time required re-entering the same information over and over again.

Reporting

Marks allows you to create lovely reports... and you can even create your own. Utilising the power of Mac OS X, XML and XSLT, reporting has never been this good. If you design and create your own, you are encouraged to email them to the developer of Marks, so they can be placed on the Marks web site and shared freely with other teachers.

Playing Nice With the Other Kids...

Marks allows you to import existing Mark Books that are comma or tab seperated, saving you the trouble of re-entering details and marks. This makes the transition as easy as possible. In addition, Marks features an Export option so you can export data into a spreadsheet and create graphs, for example.

Taking Marks Home

If you'd rather work in a more comfortable environment such as home, you'll be happy to hear that the documents Marks produces are small enough to email or transfer to your iPod or USB thumb drive. Because the documents Marks creates are so easy to take with you, they are also joy to back up, just in case aliens invade your computer.

Getting Started With Marks

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with computers and have little experience with them. Whatever your situation may be, there is no need to worry, as Marks includes a tutorial to help you get started, task-based online help and helpful email support.
