Linearization of RF Power Amplifiers
Hi and welcome to Linearization of RF Power Amplifiers by Mark Briffa - the title of my Ph.D. thesis which is available here for download. I have broken it up into 4 parts to make it a bit more manageable but it usually takes forever to download - so please be patient!

The above thesis describes what I did from 1990 to about 1996, mainly in the area of Dynamically Biased Cartesian Feedback at Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia.

In 1995 I joined the Ericsson company in Stockholm, Sweden and developed various MCPA (Multi-Carrier Power Amplifier) and LPA (Linear Power Amplifier) products, gaining exprience in predistortion, feedforward and RF/Analog ASIC design.

In 2000, I joined Wireless Solutions Sweden, in order to develop MCPA products for Allgon Systems (now part of Powerwave/LGP). The Allgon MCPA  was one of my finest works! An excellent example of a mass producable, broadband feedforward linear power amplifier having RF predistortion and fast analog control under digital supervision.

In 2002, I became an independent consultant working in the field of linear RF power amplifiers, RF power amplifier efficiency enhancement, RF design and RF/Analog ASIC design.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this challenging and exciting field!
