The Marin Classics Book Club began forming in November 2001 and we had our first meeting in January 2002.  Our reading selections focus on Classic Literature, using the Random House 100 Best Lists as our guide.

Meetings rotate monthly among hosts' chosen meeting place within Marin County.Ê A member does not have to be from Marin County but all meetings are held there.

Although a
Classic Lit book club may seem to predispose itself to serious and academic discussion, this is not the point.Ê The point is to share ideas, read those books we've been meaning to read forever, and criticize them as if we know what we're talking about.Ê Above all, fun and friendship are encouraged.

Our group is currently full to capacity; however, if you would like to be considered for future openings or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at: marin_book_club@yahoo.com
