Controlled Atmosphere Cold Storage( CACS).

• By CA i.e. controlled conditions ,we mean to maintain the following conditions inside the cold storage :
• Low temperature of 0 to 4 deg .C
• High humidity exceeding 95 % .
• Ultra low oxygen level.
• Removal of ethylene gases which the respiration process of fruit breathes out.
• Control of Carbon di-oxide level at optimum levels.
• Maintaining other conditions whatever necessary for individual fruits and vegetables.
