Introduction
Swabi is one of the largest District of NWFP that belongs to Great, Brave, Educational, Hardworking and Political Pakhtoons. Its Population is about 1.25 Million.
Geographical Location: There are about 100 Villages in Distt Swabi and Marghuz is situated in center of the DistT which is beautiful and historical village.
Thand koi, zaida lies in the West of Marghuz, where as Kalabat, Zarobi is situated in the East. Bamkhel, Baja towards North and Gar Munara towards the south.
Facilities: Marghuz has its own Govt. and Private schools, Govt. Girls Degree College, Digital Telephone Exchange, Basic Health Unit, Sohrab Memorial Hospital and a Post office. A main Road leads to Marghuz from Topi through Nowshehra, Jehangira, and Peshawar.
There are about 20 Educational Institutes and 35 Mosques in Marghuz. The villagers are Hardworker, Skillful, Efficient, and Determined, Promising, faithful, friendly and sacrificing. It has Population about 25000 people.
Fertility: Its soil is very fertile in all respects.
Politically General khalil ur rehman and General Ghulam haider are the leaders of the Freedom movement. It has the proud of being the 1st village where the Khudai Khidmatgar movement was came into being in 1930. The Grand Mother of Khan Abdul Ghaffar khan (Bacha Khan) also belonged to Marghuz. First All India Khudai Khidmatgar tehrik convention was held in marghuz in which Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani and other Leaders of India Participated. The fore Father of Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar and Maulana Shaukat Ali were the residents of Marghuz. Karam Khan (Against Sikhs), Alam zeb (Against Russian in Afghanistan), constable Zahir Shah (Against Indian at Kargil) and Salman (Against Indian at Kashmir) are the martyrs of Marghuz. The renowned poet of Marghuz is Akhundh Gul Mohammed Assi. There are about 60 male and 20 female MBBS Doctors in Marghuz.
Crops: Its most famous crop is Tobacco, wheat, corn, sugar cane etc.
