Prologue

A showcase

People grow old and life's encounters carefully kept in memories eventually fade along the way. The reason why this site is born – to showcase everything I would go through, so that, when time comes that memory would ceases from its duty of serving me, I will just open up a door, ponder the past, sweet and bitter memories.

An Island Fiasco

Traveling is in my blood. My late father, in the first half of the last century, travels a lot in his solitude. My elder brother has visited many places. Such thing motivated me to start my own travelogue. So, there, when I started to travel, my eyes were opened to endless possibilities. I started to appreciate nature the more, meeting people from all walks of life - I learned to mingle with cultures different from mine, and most importantly, I keep myself abreast of what's in and what's out. I may end up penniless at the end of the day, yet high hopes gained through the travel experience overwhelms all.

Theme

You probably wonder why a boring design. My photos today will never be the present in thirty years time, thus, a sepia color for a nostalgic ambiance. Certain elements in the masthead directly recount my travel experience, like the catamaran that you can see in the right side. It is my mode of transportation when I go from one island to another. Jeepney, a Philippine icon, which can be seen in the middle, is the constant conveyance and the most economical mode for a penniless guy like me, be in the Philippine outbacks or in the midst of urban jungles.

The seas and mountains in the far left together with compass, depicts my innermost desire to travel far and wide. That opaque smartphone, a Nokia 7650, pioneer of a mobilephone camera, is literally the ideal equipment for a wandering point-and-snap guy like me. Though a phased-out gadgetry at this present time, it didn’t diminish its employment as far as my personal preference is concern.
