DEEP DISH PIZZA

1 1/2 lbs ground beef

1/2 c chopped onion

6 oz can tomato paste

salt, pepper & oregano to taste

1 can "bang-open" biscuits

1 tomato, sliced

1 c mozzarella cheese

parmesan cheese

Brown the meat & onion. Drain thoroughly.

Place meat back in pan. Stir in tomatoe paste, salt, pepper & oregano.

Simmer.

Press 1 can of "bang-open" biscuits into a greased 9" pie pan. Spoon meat mixture into the pan. Add 1 sliced tomato on top of the pie.

Sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese either shredded or sliced thinly. Add parmesan cheese to taste.

OVEN: 350º

BAKE: 20 - 25 minutes, until golden brown

LET STAND 5 minutes before serving.
