Hello,
This site is about my quest to improve on an already great car, my 1994 Camaro Z/28.
I purchased the car in April of 99 and I've made steady modifications since.  I started with a set of BBK 1 5/8" Jet Hot coated headers from Internet Racers Supply along with a high flow cat and Flowmaster exhaust from Summit Racing.  Next on the modification list was an SS Ram Air Hood from
Suncoast Creations.  At this time I'd like to thank Scott Wright of Scott Wright Auto Body located in Exeter New Hampshire for the excellent paint job on the hood.

Shortly after purchasing the car in April, I went to
New England Dragway to get in some baseline testing.  My very first pass yielded a run of 14.39 @ 98.19, after some work on my launch technique, I recorded a best et of 14.024 and a best mph of 99.19 (best 60 ft time of 2.24).

After the header / exhaust install along with a set of BF Goodrich drag radials from
Discount Tire, my et improved to 13.81 and mph to 99.39 it was a real hot day and the car started to break down at high rpm, so after a quick call to Summit Racing I got a new set of MSD Superconductor wires and an Accel 300 digital ignition and my high rpm woes were cured.  Well after yet another journey to New England Dragway my Z was running it's best ever and the results showed it, with a new best et of 13.675 and mph of 100.52.  Definately a happy day as I was finally able to crack the 100 mph barrier.

Still not satisfied though and as Captin Kirk often said to Scotty "I need more power", so a quick call to
Lonnie Pavtis netted me a 7 Psi Pro Charger from ATI.  With the assistance of a true friend (Mark Fera) the surgery commenced.  It took a little longer than the 10-12 hours that the fine people at ATI quote, but we were able to complete the install and I'm quite pleased with the results.

After some tuning, I pronounced the car fit for combat and headed back to NED for one last time as the track was closing at the end of October.  I was extremely pleased after my first pass with a run of 12.439 @ 110.93 (1.86 60 ft) although I did loose the race to some Yahoo in a Turbo Trans Am, overall I was fairly happy.  It was a decent pass, but the car did not seem like it was running right and the scanmaster showed it was running lean.  Well, unsure what the deal was I backed off the MSD 6 BTM to 2 (down from 1.5) and took another run, this time leaving the line harder and proceeded to smoke up the BFG's and it ran real lean and was pulling back at high rpm.  The run ended up with a time of 12.914 @ 108.80

On 7/27/01 @ 7:04 PM my stock LT-1 met it's maker but still managed to run a respectable 12.5 @ 100 mph.  Destruction pics are posted in the link above.

Ran a new best of 10.02 @ 135.71 with my new 383 D-1 w/ 19#
