The Australian paper archives

On the 1st August 1998 the Australian copyright laws were changed to make it illegal to electronically reproduce newspaper articles that Australians saw as being in the "public interest" in Australia. This change to copyright, in effect, entrenched the hold of that nation's thought police - the media barons Packer and Murdoch.

Accordingly, and in the interests of free speech, the articles shown below were sourced from Murdoch and Fairfax papers and the Packer media and is reproduced in the US to ensure that their controversial content was not lost.
