DARK ORDER is a Thrash metal band from a land far away called Australia.It is more of a Bay Area style of Thrash mixed with a bit Death metal influence and Power metal.Basically sticking to Thrash tradition and adding our influence to the music and just playing it the way it was played before.We have a large variety of influences and at times it does show in the music which is natural.More info is available from the website http://dark-order.tripod.com
Currently we have released our new album THE VIOLENCE CONTINUUM here in Australia and are looking it in Europe,US and the rest of the world.We have just started working on new material for a third album.A new guitarist will be recruited very soon.More info will be released about that later.
*Is this the way of living you always want or not?
Well we have been playing Thrash metal for years now and we have always loved it.We have always stuck to our guns no matter what the trend was.When first started,Death metal was the big thing but that didn't bother us.We would love to just hit the road and be gone Thrashing it night after night.
We don't like the normal routine go to work then home.Whenever we are on the road,we love it and go crazy and are like on a high and feel alive but when we get home it is a very depressing feeling because all the fun and madness is gone but i need all the time.Touring is for some people but not for all.We love it.HFFFFFFFFFFFFFHEEEEETTTYYYYYYYYYYYEEHHHHHOOOOOO(Zoran went crazy again!)
*You send me two Dark Order albums a few months ago!To be honest,the debut one entitled 5000 YEARS OF VIOLENCE is my personal fave of the two,what's yours?
I like the debut because it is our very first album i prefer''The Violence Contineem'' better! Production is better,the songs are more diverse and have more energy in them,cover art work is better,basically an improvement in all areas.
*Tell me about the Australian Metal scene of today.I suppose it's not that big as the European Metal scene?Agree or not Zoran?
The scene here is small but has a loyal following.The population is small and is spread over a large area which makes the scene smaller.The European scene can not be compared to the Australian Europe's population makes it strong and countries are very close together which makes it easiër to get around.If we drive to Adelaide for 17 hours and see dry land and dead kangoroos but Europe is different.17 hours you will go through three countries.
*Talking about Europe...last years you went to the Wacken Open Air festival in germany and met my good friend Patrick de Sloover over there.I Can imagine that you both goes crazy amongs thousands of Metal maniacs.But what about that DUVEL experiment?
Yes,that was 4 days of my life i will never forget.That is Metal mecca.All metal heads should go there and feel the atmosphere.It is truly another world.I can't wait to go back again and maybe play there one day.Patrick and his fellow Belgium crew were all legends.Patrick is one hard drinking dude.Man,can he drink!!We were back stage and he asked me to follow him to his van.
In there he had DUVEL waiting for me to try just as he promised.DUVEL is one killer beer.It's like a kick in the head.We had a few and they just got me in a few minutes.That was about mid day and we had to try and stay in one piece to see Destruction and heaps more bands.DUVEL rules!!!
*Is there a possiblitie to play in Belgium someday?
yeah,there is a possiblity.I would love to play in Belgium and one day it will happen.Then we can Thrash it out and drink DUVEL all night.
*Do you like other genres too or only THRASH METAL and nothing else?
Thrash is what we like the most.we live for that but we like Death metal,Black,Power and Hard Rock,movie sound tracks and classical.
*Tell me something about the bands you were playing with in the past.I remember that you told me previously about a gig with Destruction.How was that?
We have playes with some very coll bands here in Australia.Local bands like Dungeon,Infernal Method,Destroyer 666,Fury,and heaps more.Destruction show went off.It was a Thrash metal invasion like never before seen.The place went totally crazy.It was hot as hell,the mosh pit was wild,just the way it should be.I had the chance to meet them and have a few drinks with Destruction which was amazing.They are very coll down to earth people!
*What the future may brings you brother?
the future,well you don't know what is around the corner but hopefully all is good but there will always be obstacles to over come but that is life.I like to be touring through Europe and US and go to a s many places as possible with Dark Order and play our style of Thrash as well as staying healthy and in one piece after so many DUVELS..so i can tell the stories that happen on the road hahahah!!
