The T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter is run by the City of Manhattan and serves Manhattan, Riley County, Ogden, and Pottawatomie County in Kansas.

We are an Animal Control Shelter and we strive to protect the public and their property, while providing shelter for stray or unwanted companion animals.

We reunite lost animals with their owners, place previously unwanted animals in new homes, enforce local animal ordinances, investigate welfare and cruelty reports, provide education concerning pet ownership, and promote spaying and neutering of companion animals.

Our staff are dedicated, trained animal professionals, with the public and the animals best interests in mind.
