Louisiana

If I regret us not getting photo opps from any state the most, I regret not getting more of Louisiana the most. Getting exhausted of the monotonous drive through the desert that is Texas, and then getting bored immediately on I-10, we stopped in Baton Rouge for an early night's rest and haunted the town for a little nightlife and gambling at a local casino. We ate spicy Cajun food at a huge buffet and spent the rest of the night playing slots in a smoky, Vegas-esque casino on the Mississippi River. I really wish I would have gotten more shots of our time in Baton Rouge.

But what I did manage to capture, with both Deb's and my camera, was an incredible rainbow just as we left the state highway out of Shreveport and hooked up with I-10. In this photo, you can see the rainbow with the I-10 highway entrance signs in the foreground.

What a cool rainbow

Here's another hotel pic—tonight, we spent the night in literal comfort at...heh heh...a Comfort Inn. Reminiscing about the trip is even making my attempts at jokes tired...lol...
