I like to use foil with embossing. Stamp & emboss, then immediately press the foil onto your embossed image whilst hot  and rub using a tissue or soft cloth on the back of the foil to stop burning yourself. You can get some really great effects! Depending on the powder and foil you can get anything from complete coverage to foiled highlights. It's a fun thing to play with. Try gold or silver foil or red metallic foil on black ep. For a really dramatic oriental look try red foil on gold ep on a black card. Also works a treat on utee though I tend to put another layer of clear utee on top.
Scrunched foil background
This is great for recycling odds & ends left over from other foil projects
Youll need a cardfront size of Jac and a card to back it on, plus some scraps of foils and some ultra fine foil
1.First remove one side of the jac backing paper and adhere to the card. I stuck mine on at an angle.
2. Remove the remaining backing paper.
2b. I actually stuck a cut out stamped design which was edged in foil, directly onto the Jac before proceeding with the background..
3. Now scrunch up the scrap foil with the shiny side inside so that the back of the foil is exposed.
4. Dab the foil randomly over the exposed Jac. I used a wavy multi coloured foil. You could introduce more than one colour foil to get a multi coloured effect. Move & re-scrunch to another section of the foil as needed. Keep dabbing until you are happy with the amount of foil placed down.
5. Now repeat the last step with another colour or 2 if desired.
6. You will still have some Jac uncovered by the foils. So now sprinkle your glitter over the card to remove all traces of tackiness.

An
alternate suggestion is to just keep laying various foils down until you have covered the jac completely and there are no gaps.
(easiest with an a6 size piece of foil though smaller ones work well too)
I also like to use foil with Utee.
Ink up a heavy/thick cardboard with red pigment ink and cover with clear Utee. Heat and repeat for 2 more layers. Working carefully so as not to get burnt as Utee retains it's heat,  immediately press the gold foil onto your embossed tile and leave until cool before peeling off the backing. You can get some really great effects! You may get a full coverage if you desire and have placed the foil on whilst Utee is hot. Or as I prefer, you may get foiled highlights. I repeated the heating to get some green foil highlights. After it has cooled I rub some clear embossing pad over the foiled utee tile and covererd with clear Utee and reheated yet again. this embeds the foils into the tile.  It's a terrific technique to play with.
Try foiling over sprayed webbing immediated after spraying. You will get an incomplete coverage but thats just what I want. The card at right also has a triangular layer of green foil under the tile and some fine strips of silver and gold foil as an accent.
