| Timid and shy Pi Shao Ting nicknamed Si Mao (Jimmy) has a big crush on his school principal's pretty granddaughter, Annie (Vivian Hsu) but unfortunately, she already has a boyfriend, Eagle (Zhang Zheng Yue) who is a bully in the school. As Si Mao had shown his admiration for her too openly and was therefore always picked on by Eagle who dared him to do dangerous acts like blade surfing on the road, baseball game where he deliberately aimed the ball hitting his face and also made him got punish to catch flies in the canteen and wash toilets for a week. Si Mao has a tomboyish best friend, Pearl (Hilary Hsu) who would always stood for him whenever he got into trouble or needed help. She was actually secretly in love with Si Mao who didn't know about her feelings at first but she was willing to help him date Annie out, though it wasn't too successful. One day, Annie caught Eagle flirting with another girl and decided to go out with Si Mao in order to spite Eagle. Eagle wasn't happy about it and when he met them at a disco, he wanted Annie to leave with him but she refused. Si Mao wanted to stop him but was pushed to the ground. Si Mao has a young brother, Xiao Pi (Hao Shao Wen) who was at the scene. He was too young to stop them of course so he made used of the computer game machine and imagined his brother as the hero character while Eagle as the villian. Si Mao won the game virtually but in reality, he was badly bruised by Eagle. After facing such humiliation, he decided to leave with his family to China for a while. In China, Xiao Pi got lost deep in the forest when the car was stopped to change new tyres. Xiao Pi found and befriended a young shaolin monk (Shi Xiao Long). Everyone was worried sick and when Si Mao was waiting helplessly at the hotel lobby, Xiao Pi was brought back by the little Shaolin monk. Si Mao was keen to learn martial arts from him and so they left their parents a letter that they would be away for a while. For the few days, Si Mao learnt some basic moves through the tough training. When they return back, Si Mao is now more confident. He waited outside Annie's house hoping to meet her but instead saw her sent home by Eagle and behaving intimately. After Eagle left, he called out to her and asked her if she ever had feelings for him but she admitted that she just used him as a substitute. Si Mao was very hurt of course but suddenly, Annie came running out wanting him to send her to the hospital to see her grandfather who was suddenly admitted. The Vice-principal who's the father of Eagle was hoping to own the school and while the principal was ill, he carried out some dishonest business and was found out by Si Mao...... Interesting scenes of Jimmy doing things not often seen like displaying his cool roller blading skills, playing baseball, bartending and as a computer game fighting character = D BACK |
