After getting along with Jimmy these few days, he's naturally a boy next door, without any motive, having exactly the innocence of a kid. Moreover he's very ingenious, knowing that his manager has arranged for him a path towards a superstar, he's willing to tolerate with all the hardships. To say that he's obedient, you have to start from the time his promotional executive, Xiao Yu fetch him everyday. Each day, he has to rush and rush, if it's not rushing for TV programmes, it'll be radio programmes. Within one day, there's 7 to 8 notices to rush for till he has no idea which programme is which. This keeps going on that being at such a young age, he already had dark rings under his eyes. Even when on the journey towards rushing for the notices, he'll get some sleep in the car. He also has to tolerate with hunger, but he doesn't make a single complaint, just that he'd often groan towards Xiao Yu, "I'm so hungry." And Xiao Yu would reply, "Wait a while." But, no matter what, Jimmy is still a teenager, just reached 18, and have the characteristic of this age, that is dependency. Whenever Xiao Yu is not around him, and he was asked by an unfamiliar reporter if he's willing to accept his interview, he would feel very uneasy, looking around everywhere, trying to find Xiao Yu for help. Jimmy has a strong ability of toleration. He can tolerate working more than 10 hours a day without complaining. Asking him how he felt, he would reply shyly, "I'm used to it." He frankly said that at first, he couldn't get used to it, like losing his freedom, as he can no longer go onto the streets, watch a movie, even when he goes to a nearby shop to buy something, he has to wear a helmet. There was once, he was like dying to tell Xiao Yu something and asked him, "Guess what I did last night?" Of course Xiao Yu have no idea what 'big things' had he done, and Jimmy told him proudly, "I bargained with someone and bought something." He talked about his experience very happily and causing Xiao Yu to laugh non-stop, teased that he's so childish. Part 3 "I'm not afraid of fans!" From unable to able to get use, Jimmy has mature, no longer afraid of the many attention towards him. When taking photos in front of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, he would greet others and willing to fulfil every fans request of photo-taking or autographs. And even after completing a day's work, he will go into a drinks shop to buy his favorite cup of papaya milk drink, eat his favourite ham and eggs. In the car, Xiao Yu asked if he's not afraid of his fans harrassing him, Jimmy said jokingly, "Who's afraid of who?" and walked into the shop. A fan standing beside the shop when seeing Jimmy, doesn't even know how to react but only standing there with her mouth wide-open. Upon stepping into the shop, all the attention were focus on him, followed by lots of whisperings, but Jimmy ate carefreely, and happily regarded this day as the most carefree, most relaxed moment and cherished such simple happiness. He said that since young, he loves to watch car races, and his greatest wish is to be a car racer. He loves the feeling of thrill and speed. "Zoom" and the car is able to go very far, and feel like a hero after winning a race. Not just the speed is able to win the throphy, but it also needs good techniques and skills. Jimmy's manager, Xia Ge and promotional executive, Xiao Yu both knows that they are correcting Jimmy step by step, saying that his dancing is not energetic enough. Fine! Thus he began practising day and night, and this time with the release of his 3rd album, his dancing has improved. During his performance in the Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan, his dancing impressed the general manager of UFO music, and received great response from others. Saying that he's not good enough to sing live. Fine! Currently, he said confidently that though he lost the happiness and freedom he should have of this age, he doesn't regret, as he knows what he wants to do and what route he should choose. He understands that his current achievement brought him a different kind of happiness, not anyone of his age is able to achieve. Just like when he was doing his promotions in Hong Kong, he managed to squeeze a few hours to shop for clothes. Once he sees something he likes in a shop, he just need to point, this, that, with a whole pile of clothes, then go to the next store, leaving Xiao Yu to pay for him. Having such luxurious ability to point and buy, not anyone is able to enjoy such lifestyle. He naturally understands that it's currently fame that brought him happiness, and said happily, "It's exhilarating!" Part 4 "1992 is the happiest year of my life!" Fame also brought him many unexpected returns. Such as becoming ambassador of health campaigns. When filming an advertisement against passive smoking, he even got to meet and shake hands with the Taiwanese president, and appearing together in this promotional film. Compared to the past, undoubtedly, Jimmy has matured a lot, but his impish personality still never change. When the photographer request him to take a picture riding on a motorbike, Xiao Yu immediately borrowed a black little scooter from the television station for Jimmy, but Jimmy kept asking, "Why didn't you take mine? Mine looks much better, taking photo with this one seems so embarrassing, very shameful!" But Xiao Yu who was beside, laughed at him, "Isn't yours also a 50cc little scooter!" Also, when he return back to the little apartment where he used to live with his elder brother, he began to talk about his past stories happily, showing the many kinds of interesting items, and even took out a wooden sign 'Gui Fang" (Literally translated, it meant tortoise's room but it shares the same pronounciation as the chinese word for bedroom) for us to take photos. In the past, Jimmy ever worked as a waiter, and also at a noodle stall. He said that during those few months, "It was for fun, and to earn some pocket money." He didn't mention whether it was tough. The moment when he was most excited was when the photographer chatted with him about cars and photography, the excitement can be seen on his face. Xiao Yu said that everytime he walk pass a Porche showroom, he'll be stuck to the glass, keep saying "Wa...wa.." as he admire. Xiao Yu teased that whenever he's doing an interview, even if a beautiful girl walks pass, Jimmy's glance would not follow her direction, but if it's a beautiful car, he would turn his whole head, keep staring at it. Currently, Jimmy has one simple, but not exactly simple wish. "Hope that I can buy a Porche." In 1992, this little whirlwind has swept the whole of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia in chaos. From a unknown handsome teenager, he rised up to an idol well-loved by tens and thousands of fans.
