| Jimmy is a big kid at heart - putting it this way seems rather irresponsible. No matter what, he had entered showbiz at age 17, a 'veteran artiste' who had been through all the ups and downs for so many years. But one who shows great interest in new things and following the trend, I believe most would share the same opinion as I do. Many people know that Jimmy is very good in car racing, but few people know that he is just as good in handling high tech equipment. Other than his laptop and mobile phone which he never leaves without, digital camera, digital video camera, PDA, projector, home theatre sound system are all his basic equips. "Since young, I showed great interest in controllable equipment. When my parents bought me toys, without difficulty, I would unscrew and open them up. After studying them, I can put them back together again. Playing these things, I would carefully read the manual, so no matter what I'm playing with, most of the time, I figured them out all by myself." Regarding photography, he fell in love with it since in high school. Till now, he has upgraded to digital camera. After changing to digital camera, he never goes without the computer. Don't think Jimmy is like most artistes who use the computer just to surf the net, send e-mails or play internet games. He plays with images softwares and is also an expert on it. Eversince the internet came about, Jimmy even invested in technological company and used the internet to invest in shares. Any new technological items, he said, if appear in front of him, he would feel himself burning with excitement and couldn't help wanting to buy it. Therefore, no matter if it's mobile phones, PDA, digital camera or laptop, etc, his equipment would always be the latest. The one who benefits most from Jimmy's habit in trying new things is his younger brother. Those which Jimmy thinks is no longer ahead with time, he would give them to his brother. Sometimes, Jimmy would also sell them away. Especially in changing mobile phones, Jimmy shows no reluctance. "Using the latest mobile phone is necessary in living in the age of technology. Also, I have a weird habit, I'm only interested in Nokia phones. This type of phone is easy to hold and use, and able to download lots of information." Right now, Jimmy is using Nokia 8310, perhaps when you're reading this article, he may have changed to another one. To Jimmy, he would go mad if he's stuck in a place where he can't use these technologies. He would also lose his sense of security, thus everytime when he leaves home for work, his luggage would always contain these equipment. Digital camera and video camera to record his working condition and the foreign cultures and sceneries. PDA to note his schedule. If he's away for more than 2 weeks, uh oh......the whole home theatre is leaving with him. |
