| Richard Ng is the father of 3 with his eldest daughter, Xiao Dong (Brigitte Lin) a tough lady cop, 2nd daughter, Xiao Nan (Maggie Cheung) a gentle social worker, 3rd daughter, Xiao Xi (Chingmy Yau) a beautiful doctor and his youngest son, Xiao Bei (Jimmy) a high school student. He is worried for his 3 unwed daughters and decided to trick them into finding a boyfriend by lying that he is struck with a terminal disease and his days are numbered. So as not to disappoint their father, they tried their best to look for a boyfriend to show him. When Xiao Dong was trying to arrest a notorious criminal, Tony Leung as a gigolo hindered her job and he was taken hostage by the criminal, but the criminal was disgusted by his gross behaviour and Xiao Dong easily arrested him. She then asked Tony Leung to act as her boyfriend to show her dad. Xiao Nan came across a blind lady begging on the streets and offered to help her and later realised that she was just pretending to be blind and is the mother of a triad leader (Jacky Cheung). Xiao Nan wanted to help conform him and also asked him to act as her boyfriend. Xiao Xi's patient wanted to introduced her shy and innocent son who's still a virgin at 27 to her but she wasn't interested. And one day when she was working out in the gym, she met Ekin Cheng who was actually the son. His friends dare him to date her, and he asked her out. She thought he was lying that he had never dated and lied that she's a poor prostitute who's in need for money and abused by her uncle. He sympathised her and agreed to meet her father. Richard Ng wanted to test how good they were and if they truely love his daughters and prepared some games and tests for them. This leads to a chain of hilarious events between each couple but it helps the further development in their relationships. One fine day, a lady(Sandra Ng) came knocking at the door. She was Richard's long-time pen pal and came to visit him. Actually she was just interested in his wealth and when he was asleep, she quietly crept to his beside and acted as though something had happened and wanted him to marry her. He had no choice but to agree and she demanded that all the living expense to be controlled by her. She even removed a protrait of his wife and replaced with hers and was confronted by Xiao Bei. She was angry and abused him. When they all came back and saw the situation, she turned the way round and said that Xiao Bei harrassed her. As the 'brothers' of the criminal Xiao Dong caught, wanted a revenge and ambushed her and her family at home. With everyone's help, they tried to fight against the bad guys and had their own funny ways to defend themselves. BACK |
