On Friday the 6th of June Jason retired from Football after his comeback match against Richmond. He kicked the first goal in the last quarter and set up Leigh Harding for the winning goal with only minutes remaining. Jason is now going to work with the club for the rest of the year then will look for a job in the media. Good luck to Jason in whatever he does. |

| Jason Retires after great come back Jason McCartney made his long awaited return to football on Friday June 6th against Richmond. Jason kicked a goal and set up the winning goal then announced his retirement straight after the siren. It was emotional evening with Jason putting in his all, Troy Makepeace almost single handedly losing the game for the Kangaroos and Leigh Colbert injuring himself. |
