Dreams So Real

Dreams So Real was a three piece band from Athens, Georgia that achieved some limited success in the late 80s and early 90s with two albums on Arista Records. Formed in 1984, the band's sound was a mixture of hook laden acoustic and electric guitar riffs and Southern jangly pop along the lines of another Georgia band, REM. Dreams So Real was a part of the "second wave" of the burgeoning Athens music scene. Dreams So Real released their first single, "Everywhere Girl/Whirl" on Coyote/Twin Tone Records in 1985. In 1986, the band releases their first independant album, "Father's House" to critical acclaim. "Rough Night In Jericho" was released in 1988 and recieved national attention. "Gloryline" followed in 1990. The band disbanded in 1994.
