Welcome to our site. We are the Waldensians, a Protestant religious community that for the last 800 years has survived and prospered, despite repeated attempts at repression and extermination during the first five centuries. These pages, and the landmarks shown, represent our commitment to our Christian beliefs. They also serve as testimony to our Lord and Savior. Without our faith in Him, it would not have been possible to bear the suffering, to endure, and to prosper beyond the adversities.

| The Waldensian historical sites are located in the Cozie Alps of northwestern Italy. About one third, 15,000 of the Waldensians still live in these areas, while the other two thirds, about 30,000, have expanded to other areas within Italy and to other countries such as Germany, Argentina and Uruguay. We appreciate your taking the time to come to our site to learn about us. We are proud of our heritage and we hope that you will find our history inspirational. Let us offer you our hand, in Christian fellowship, and lead you to our land, to our culture and to the places that have been our strength and our refuge throughout the centuries.
