		John McQuade's first job in the theatre was as an understudy for Maurice Evans. It was a happy association as witnessed by Mr. McQuade's subsequent appearances in five productions with Mr. Evans -- "Hamlet," "Richard II," "Henry IV," "Twelfth Night" and "Macbeth." His other acting credits include "Arsenic and Old Lace," "Counselor at Law," and most recently, off-Broadway's "Ghosts." Since 1953, he has been commuting between New York and South America where he filmed a television series, acted on the English-speaking stage in Argentina and directed at the Teatro de Colon in Buenos Aires. Mr. McQuade won critical acclaim for his performance as Willie Stark in "All The King's Men" at the Margo Jones Theatre in Dallas and has recorded a series of dramas by Eugene O'Neill for the Voice of America, as well as "Winterset" and "Saturday's Children" for the blind. His television credits include the title role of "Charlie Wilde, Private Eye," the soon-to-be-released series, "The Adventures of Jethro Adams" and all the major dramatic programs.
