I would like to thank you for visiting my special place on the web. Please allow me to introduce myself. My legal name is now Jamie Lorilee. I am a 59 year old woman who had to deal with a medical condition known as Gender Dysphoria. I am married to a very special lady (Brenda) with whom I have enjoyed 37 wonderful years of marriage. (We celebrated our 29th Anniversary Dec 11, 2000, 2 months after my GRS.)

I've created my retreat in the hope that I may be able to make it a little easier for for those dealing with this medical condition and their families and to help complete their journey to happiness. We hope to be able to better educate others about the medical condition we are born with. Brenda and I hope that married couples will see that it is possible and feasable to continue in the marriage even after surgery. That a sharing and loving relationship can continue to thrive and grow stronger through transition and after surgery. You will find two documents on my site that may also be of use in educating those you love, family and friends. Gender Dysphoria is a easy to understand description of the medical condition we have to deal with. Remember The Family deals with the feelings of family members who have to be or have been told that a member of the family suffers from Gender Dysphoria. Feel free to copy either or both of these documents to distribute to those you wish to educate.

Brenda & Lori, Mexico Dec. 2001

Brenda and I have shared numerous interests over the years. For 14 years we were showing and breeding boxers and whippets under the kennel name of "Dauntae". Many of our kids have won awards around the world in their show careers. At different times in our lives we have scuba dived, water & snow skied, sailed, owned motorcycles, travelled and have been members of the local Corvette Club. In June of 2005 I retired and we moved to Santiago (Manzanillo) Mexico and have a small B & B. We have vacationed for many years in Santiago and when I was able to retire at 55 we made the move south to enjoy the rest of our lives in the sun.
After spending a year working around the property and playing a considerable amount of golf, in late October 2006, I was asked by one of the ladies in our golf group if I would like to join her real estate company selling real estate in the Manzanillo area. For myself this is a great new career choice as I get to share my love of the Manzanillo area, the Mexican people and help others to become a part of our special community here. After 1 1/2 years with Manzanillo Pacific Real Estate I changed companies and I am now very happily working with Manzanillo Real Estate Professionals. If you're interested in a wonderful place to holiday or to spend the rest of your life contact me. December of 2007 we bought a 21' Panga (Mexican Fishing Boat) and have spent lots of time on the water catching the local sports fish. (Dorado, Sailfish, Marlin and Tuna). Life is what we make of it so always make the most of it.

For those who are interested in what I went through dealing with my Gender Dysphoria please check out my "Biography" page. I have included a "Photo Album" as well as a "Poetry Corner". Please sign our "Spiritbook" before you leave and let us know what you thought of my retreat.
