Tribunal Adventures!
Introduction:
The city of Mournhold, once proud and cheerful, has been plagued by troubles of late. At first, there was just tension between the Temple and Prince Helseth. The Temple though he had murdered the king to take the throne. But now, each faction seems secretly bent on destroying the other. Local unrest isn't the only problem, though. Strange happeninings down in the city sewers have been spoken of in rumors lately. They say there's an entire goblin army being raised down there, preparing to invade the city! And to make matters worse, it's said the secret Dark Brotherhood of Assassins has made Mournhold their new home. A hero from Vvardenfell has come to settle a score with this guild, but will he be able to solve the city's other problems before disaster strikes?
Hints:
- You cannot enter Prince Helseth's room, even with a cheat, until you are allowed.
- DO NOT hook up Marena with Fons Berens (the jerk in the Great Bazaar). You can get them together, but there is no reward for the quest. It's better to find someone else for Marena.
- You know that awesome warhammer of Stendarr in the Mournhold Museum? Don't even think about trying to steal it because it's impossible; the thing has a weight of
1000!
- There's a really cool quest in the Godsreach quarter of Mournhold that lets you be bouncer for a day. However, don't accept it unless you have good hand-to-hand skill. You might get in a fight with some of the patrons, and to get the best salary you must knock them out, NOT kill them.
- The sewers/dungeons beneath Mounhold really ARE "epic-sized" like the box says. If you plan to go anywhere deeper than just the first sewer levels, bring loads of restoration potions and armoring tools and allow yourself quite a bit of inventory space. Oh yeah, and be level 25+!
Under sun and sky, outlander, we greet you warmly.
Try this quest!
Next time you are in the Great Bazaar in Mournhold, try out this neat quest, which is one of my favorites in the whole game. In the center of the Bazaar, you can see an outdoor theater with a small audience. Talk to the leader of the performance, Meryn Othralas, and he will tell you that one of the actors has fallen ill and they need a replacement-you. You are to memorize the play, "The Horror of Castle Xyr", in just a few short minutes and go out and deliver your lines. Since this could be difficult, I have provided below an abridged transcript of the story so you can copy, paste, and print out your own script for the big production!
Mournhold, city of light, city of magic!
