Henry nearly choked on his food. "W-What?!"

"I'm pregnant." Rika replied.  "Isn't that great?"

"Were gonna have another baby?" Henry asked.

"Yes!" Rika giggled.

"This is wonderful!" Henry stood up and spun Rika around.

She giggled. "Henry! Stop!"

"Sorry." Henry set Rika down. "So do you know how many months?"

"The doctor didn't say, but we have an appointment with him tomorrow at 5:00."

"Ok. So after you take Kouji to the flower shop well go to the doctors."

"Right." Rika nodded. "But...wait. Aren't  you  working tomorrow?"

"I'm getting off at 4:00 tomorrow."

"Oh ok." Rika smiled.

Just then Kouji  walked into the room. "Hey mom, hey dad."

"Oh hello Kouji." Henry smiled.

"You guys seem happy. What's up?" Kouji asked.

"Well.." Henry looked at Rika. "There's going to be another member added to this family."

"Whoa...back up!" Kouji waved his hands. "Are you saying mom is..." He trailed off.

Rika and Henry nodded.

"You're  going to have a new brother or sister."

Kouji was very surprised at this news. He was going to be a big brother!

"Wow..." Was the only words that came from his mouth. "Thats great mom."

Rika smiled at her son. "Thanks hon. Tommorow after we take you to the flower shop were going to the doctors ok?"

"What for?" Kouji asked.

"To see how the baby is doing." Henry replied.

"Oh..."

Thrusday

Lunchtime...
 

"Hey Kouji." Izumi smiled setting her tray down on the table next to Kouji. "What's up?"

"Nothing much....My mom is pregnant."

"REALLY?! Cute!" Izumi beamed. "I'm so happy for you!"

"Thanks." Kouji replied. "So anything new with you?"

"Not really." Izumi shrugged. "My house is boring. Nothing ever happens."

"I'm sure something new will happen soon." Kouji smiled. "You never know."

"I suppose." Izumi smiled back. "My house does sometimes surprise me."

' Mine too.' Kouji thought.

After school
 

"Bye Kouji!" Izumi waved as she ran off.

"Bye." Kouji waved back.

Beep! Beep!

Kouji looked to see his parents waitting in the car.

"Come on Kouji!" His mother called to him. "Lets go!"

"Coming!" Kouji called back. He ran to the car and got into the back seat.

In the car

"So how was school?" Henry asked his son.

"It was ok." Kouji shrugged.  "Same old things."

"How was Izumi  doing?" Rika asked.  "I have not seen her for awhile."

"She's doing fine mom." Kouji answered back.

"Where you planning to take her for your date?" His mother asked.

"I'm not sure yet." Kouji replied. "Probably a  dinner and a movie."

"After dinner why don't you take her for a walk in the part." Suggested his mother. "Girls love that."

"I guess i could do that." Kouji said. ' I would do anything for her...' He thought dreamily thinking of Izumi.

Flower shop.

"Hello and welcome to the Ishida flower shop. How may i help you." A woman at the desk smiled.

"Yes can we get a dozen white roses please." Rika asked.

"Of course." The woman smiled. "Let me get them for you in the back." The woman then went into the back room.

"Do you think she will like these?" Kouji looked up at his mother.

"Of course!" Rika smiled. "All girls love them."

"Man girls sure love lots of things.." Kouji said.

Rika giggled as the woman came from the back with their white roses.

"Here you are." She smiled handing the roses to Rika. "Thank you for shopping at the ishida flower shop. That will be 10.99"

Rika handed the woman the money and walked out with her son.

Doctors office

"Is this guy always late?" Kouji asked sounding annoyed. They had been waiting for the doctor for almost an hour  in that room.

"Kouji!" Henry looked at his son angry. "The doctor is  very busy. I'm sure he will get to us soon."

"Yeah right..." Rika mumbled.

"Rika!" Henry nudged his wife.

"Hello Mr and Mrs.Wong." The doctor smiled walking into the room and closing the door behind him. "How are we today?"

"Annoyed." Kouji replied.

Rika gently nudged her son. "Kouji!" She whispered.

The doctor chuckled. "Its okay Mrs.Wong." He smiled.  "My daughter is the same way."

"What's her name?" Rika asked.

"Izumi." The doctor replied.

"!!!!" Thought Kouji.

"Orimoto?" Henry asked.

"Why yes." The doctor nodded. "Why?"

"She has a date with our son tomorrow." Rika told him.

"Oh how nice." The doctor smiled. "Now lets get on with the baby."

Later that night

Later that night Kouji was on the phone with Izumi telling her who he had met today.

"My father?" Izumi questioned.

"Yes! Your dad is our family doctor!" Kouji replied.

Izumi's eyes widen in surprise. "Really?"

Kouji nodded. "Yeah!"

"Wow cool." Izumi was still surprised from the news. Her dad was really Kouji's doctor.

"Yep." Kouji smiled. (^_^)

"So you ready for our date tomorrow?" Izumi asked.

"Y-Yeah." Kouji blushed. "Ready then i will ever be!"

"Cool." Izumi smiled. "Cya then!"

"Bye." Kouji then hung up the phone and looked out the window wondering what his date would be like.

' I hope it goes well..' Kouji thought.

Rika and  Henry.
10:00 PM

Rika and Henry were sitting in bed. Henry was reading a novel while Rika was watching tv. Rika picked up the  remote control and turned off the tv and set the remote on the night table beside the bed.

Rika sighed.

"Something wrong hon?" Henry asked looking up from his novel.

"I just cant believe Kouji is having his first date." Rika replied looking at Henry. "Time sure does fly..."

"Yeah." Henry nodded. "He's grown up so fast."

Rika wiped a tear. " My little baby.."

"Don't cry hon." Henry set a hand on her shoulder. "He will always be our son no matter what."

"I know." Rika smiled. "That's what keeps me going."

"Me too." Henry nodded. "Now lets get some sleep."

Rika nodded. "ok."

They kissed and then Henry turned off the light.

"Night Rika." He whispered.

"Night..." Rika whispered back.
