Its about trust...

15 year old sakura avalon walked down the street to school in her uniform. Li had moved back from Hong Kong last year. And they have been going out ever since. But there was a little problem in their relationship. Li was over protective of Sakura. Every time Sakura would talk to a guy Li was scare him away or beat him up. Li didn't want ANY guy near his Sakura. Sakura sighed sadly.

"Why doesn't Li trust me?" Sakura asked herself.

"Hey Sakura!" A voice called behind her.

Sakura spun around to find her best friend Madison.

"Hey Madison." Sakura smiled. "How are you?"

"I'm ok." Madison smiled back. "How about you?"

"Ok i guess.."

"You guess....?" Madison raised an eyebrow.

"Its Li..."

"Oh? What about him?"

Sakura sighed. "He's just so over protective. Don't you notice that?"

Madison nodded. "Yeah i do."

"I think its sweet he cares so much but i would like to make some guy friends."

"Did you try talking to him about it?"

Sakura nodded. "Lots of times..."

FLASH BACK!

"But Li!" Sakura whined. "Why not!"

"Sakura, No means no!" Li roared. "No guy friends! Understood?"

"Yes Li.." Sakura sighed and just decided to accept her boyfriend's order.

END OF FLASH BACK

"Wow." Madison gasped. "Has Li really gotten THAT protective?"

Sakura nodded. "Yep."

"Does he let you talk to ...."

"Zachary? No..."

"Man....That's tough."

"I know." Sakura sighed. "I wish he weren't so protective."

"I'm sure you will work it out." Madison pat Sakura on the back. "Now lets get to school! We need to check out were our home room is."

"Right." Sakura nodded.

School

"Look!" Madison said pointing to a spot on the chart. "Were in the same home room!"

"Cool!" Sakura said taking a look. "What room?"

"214."

"Lets go!"

"I hope we get the same classes together." Sakura smiled.

"Yeah." Madison nodded. "Me too."

Sakura then felt a warm kiss on her cheek.

Sakura looked up and saw Li.

"Li!" She blushed. "H-Hi." (O><O)

"Hey." He smiled kissing her cheek again. "How are you?"

"Other then the horror of being back in school....fine (><)V"

Li chuckled. "So what classes do you guys have?"

"Don't know yet." Madison replied.

Then the teacher spoke up. "Okay everyone lets start!"

"Hey i have gym first block." Sakura said. "Oh man... (-.-;)

"Me too." Li said.

"What do you have first block Madison?" Sakura asked.

"I have arts." Madison replied. "That sounds fun." (*.*)

"Yeah." Sakura nodded.

"At least i get to see you first block." Li whispered to Sakura.

This made her blush.

Madison giggled.

2nd week of school...

"Okay everyone come in!" The gym teacher called. "We have a new student joining our class today." Then a boy with blue hair stepped up.

"My name is Eli moon." He smiled. "Nice to meet you all."

"Hey Eli!" All the kids greeted.

"I hope you all will make Eli feel wanted here at our school."

Eli then caught Sakura's eye. He smiled and walked over to her. "Hello there."

"Hi." Sakura smiled. "Nice to meet you."

"You too." Eli replied taking her hand and kissing it.

Sakura blushed. "Um..."

Li was filled with rage. No one flirts with HIS Sakura!

Before Eli knew it he found the tip of Li's sword at his nose. Li stood in front of Sakura protectively holding his sword telling Eli to ' back off.'

"Li put that sword away!" The teacher told him. "What parents give their kids these days!"

Li groaned and put his sword away. Before leaving he gave Eli a cold glare. " Watch it kid.." Li told him. Li then walked off.

"I'm sorry about that." Sakura sighed. "He's like that..."

"Who is he?" Eli asked.

"My boyfriend." Sakura replied.

"No wonder he was being so protective." Eli smiled. "He probably thought i was going to take you away from him."

Sakura nodded. "He does that to all the boys so don't feel bad Eli."

"I understand." He smiled.

"I'm sure once he gets to know you he wont be so mean."

"That would be nice." Eli smiled.

"Where you from?" Madison asked.

"England." He replied.

"England?" Sakura questioned.

Eli nodded.

"Was it hard for you to learn Japanese?" Sakura asked.

"Nope." Eli shook his head. "It was easy."

"Wow." Sakura was very impressed.

"Sakura!" Li called her. "Come here!"

Sakura could tell by his voice he didn't sound very happy.

"C-Coming!" Sakura called back. Sakura then turned to Eli and Madison." I have to go now guys..cya!" Sakura then ran towards Li.

**Li and Sakura**

"Why were you talking to him!" Li demanded. "Have you forgotten what i told you?"

"He's new and all...and i just wanted to.."

"Be his friend!" Li shot. "Sakura i thought told you--"

"No guy friends..." Sakura sighed. "I know..But--.."

"No buts! Sakura i don't want you near him ever again. Is that clear?"

"Yes Li." Sakura sighed.

(A/N : I know i'm making Li kinda bossy.. >-<)

"Good." Li crossed his arms. "I'm glad i have made that clear."

Sakura only nodded.

"Okay class time to get changed."

"Hai!"

After school
In the hallway...

Sakura held her books tightly to her chest as she rushed through the hall to her locker. She then bumped into someone falling back with her papers flying everywhere.

"Gomen!" Sakura said quickly getting her papers.

"Its ok." The voice said.

Sakura knew that voice...it was Eli!

Sakura hid her face and just stood up with her papers. "B-Bye!"

"Wait!" Eli grabbed her arm. "Sakura why have you been ignoring me all day?"

"L-Let me go.." Sakura said. But Eli was not planning on letting go anytime soon.

"Sakura tell me. Why wont you talk to me?"

"....."

"Sakura!"

"Li..."

"Huh?"

"Li." Sakura repeated looking at Eli. "He doesn't want me talking to you...or to be anywhere near you for that matter."

"Why?"

"I don't know....I guess he's just....scared."

"Scared he will loose you?"

Sakura nodded.

Eli rubbed his chin. "Hmmm...Say Sakura?"

"Yeah?"

"Why don't you and Li come out to pizza with me tonight?"

"Oh..not tonight me and Li have a date tonight...how about tomorrow?"

"Sure." Eli smiled.

Sakura's house

"Got a date tonight?" Kero asked sitting on Sakura's dresser.

"Yeah." Sakura said fixing her hair up and putting a beautiful chinese barrette in.

"Where did you get that chinese barrette?" Kero asked. He had never seen her wear it before.

"From Li." Sakura replied dully.

"Something wrong?"

"The new kid in my class wants me and Li go to out to pizza with him tomorrow."

"What's so bad about that?"

"Li doesn't like him."

"Protective?"

Sakura nodded. "Very..."

"Sakura you shouldn't worry about it. If Li loves you he will understand."

"I know but every time i try to make friends with a guy he forbids me to talk with him nor see him."

"Did you try talking to him?"

"Yeah." Sakura nodded.

"Well don't worry kid." Kero said patting her on the head. "Things will work out."

Sakura sighed. "I hope so..."

Sakura and Li's date
The park.

"What?!" Li shouted standing up from the bench.

"Eli invited us both out to pizza tomorrow." Sakura told him. "We should go."

"I don't think thats a good idea."

"Come on Li! Try and be friends with Eli. You may change your mind about him and--"

"NO!" Li snapped "I told you before i don't want you near him! We are not going to pizza with that guy!"

"Please Li!" Sakura begged. "He just wants to be friends with us."

"I don't care!" Li roared. "No means no!"

"But.."

"NO!"

"For me?"

Li groaned and when he saw Sakura's eyes he softened.

He sighed. "Ok...but just this once."

Sakura giggled and hugged Li. "Thank you!"

School
In the hall ways...

"No way!" Madiosn laughed.

"Its true!" Sakura was laughing also. "Li agreed."

"Well this is a big step for Li." Madison giggled.

"Yeah." Sakura nodded.

"Hey Sakura!" Eli greeted as he walked up to her and Madison. "How are you?"

"I'm great Eli. What about you?"

"Fine." Eli smiled. "Thanks. So are you and Li coming tonight?"

"Yeah." Nodded Sakura. "So after school?"

"Yep." Eli nodded.

"Cool!" Sakura beamed. "I'm looking forward to it."

"I'm sure Li is to." Madison joked.

"Hahaha..." Sakura laughed putting her hand behind her head.

"Speaking of Li..." Madison whispered to Sakura.

"Hoe?" Sakura looked up to see pushing his way through the crowd of students.

'Uh oh...' Sakura thought to herself. ' he doesn't look very happy.'

"Hi Li." Madison waved.

"Hello Madison." Li greeted back then looked to Sakura. "Sakura."

"Li." Sakura replied back in the same tone of voice.

"I'm glad your coming to pizza after school." Eli smiled.

Li just huffed at Eli. "I will see you later Sakura."

"Bye Li."

Li quickly kissed Sakura and went to his next class.

"He seems awfully cheerful.." Eli said.

"Sorry Eli...He's like that." Sakura apologized. "I'm sure he will see you're not a bad guy..."

"Bad guy?"

"I will tell you at lunch!" Sakura ran off to her next class. "Bye!"

'Bad guy...?' Eli was still very confused.

Lunchtime...

"Where is Sakura?" Eli asked. "I wanna know what she meant."

"I will tell you Eli." Madison replied.

"No." Another said.

"Oh Sakura!" Eli smiled. "Your here."

"I will tell him." Sakura sighed sitting down next to Eli.

"So what's up?" Eli asked. "Why is Li so protective?"

"Well...It all started last year when Li moved from Hong Kong to Japan."

FLASH BACK

We were out on a date. It was a beautiful night... While Li was in one of the stores i waited outside for him.

"Hey there baby." A tall guy with dark brown hair came up to Sakura. "Why don't you come with me? We'll go to my place." He had a sly grin.

"N-No..i'm waiting for someone." Sakura told him.

"Oh Come on!" The guy then pulled Sakura close to him trying to kiss her. "Lets have some fun!"

"No!" Sakura yelled trying to get from his gasp. "Let me go!"

When Li saw what was happening from inside the store he quickly paid for what he was buying and ran out to help Sakura. "Let her go!" Li then punched the guy down.

"Ow! You little...." The guy stood up. "You want a piece of me! Come and get it!"

The guy then took out his pocket knife and threw it at Li.

But Sakura stepped in front of Li taking the stab.

"SAKURA NO!!!" Li screamed.

Sakura's eyes went wide with shock from the pain.

"Someone call 911!" A woman yelled.

The guy then ran off.

"Sakura...." Li whispered as he held Sakura in his arms. "Don't leave me...."

"Li....." Sakura whispered weakly. "I wont ever leave you......i love you...."

Li held her hand tightly. "I love you too...."

While Sakura laid in that hospital bed. Her dad and brother stood at her side looking very worried. While Li looked very serious. He was never gonna let this happen to Sakura ever again! Never ever! From this day on he would never let any guy near his Sakura.

END OF FLASH BACK

"He's been protective ever since." Sakura sighed.

"Thats some story." Eli was shocked. "Now i understand."

"Yeah.." Sakura sighed sadly. "I wish he would trust me."

"He does Sakura." Madison put a hand on her shoulder. "He just doesn't want anything to happen to you."

"I know..." Sakura looked down at her feet. "But he should know all guys are not like the one that stabbed me."

"He will learn in time." Eli smiled. "Don't worry."

"Your right.." Sakura put a smile on. "Sooner or later he will learn to trust other boys."

"Right." Eli nodded. "You just wait and see."

"Yeah." Agreed Madison.

"Hi." A voice greeted.

"Li!" Sakura smiled. "Sit down."

Li smiled and sat next to Sakura. "Did i miss anything?"

Sakura shook her head. "No. Nothing special."

"Just talking." Eli said.

"Yeah." Madison nodded.

After school

"So what pizza place did you have in mind?" Sakura asked.

"I was thinking that new pizza place. Um...whats it called?"

"Fantasy Castle?" Sakura asked.

"Yeah!"

"!!"

"But Eli thats the most expensive place there is!"

"I think i can handle it." Eli smiled. "Don't worry."

"But just a pop it cost like ten dollars!"

"I said don't worry. I will pay for everything."

"You must be very rich then." Sakura said.

The Pizza place

"Wow this place is sure fancy." Sakura looked all around. "Wow! They even have a dance floor!" Sakura then turned to Li. "Want to dance later?"

"Sure." Li smiled at her sweetly.

"Yay!" Sakura giggled.

"May i take your order?" The waiter asked.

"Yes well have the pizza special." Eli smiled.

"Of course anything to drink?"

"I will have a diet coke." Sakura said.

"Root beer." Said Li.

"And i will have a coke." Eli smiled.

"Of course. Your orders shall be here shortly." And with that the waiter left.

"Everything seems so expensive." Sakura said softly.

"Yeah but i'm sure its worth it." Eli said.

"I bet..." Li muttered.

"Li!" Sakura elbowed him lightly.

Eli chuckled. "Sakura?"

"Hmm?"

"Why don't you go and check out the music selection." Eli suggested.

"Ok!" Sakura got up to check it out.

Eli then got serious. "Li."

"Yeah what?"

"Sakura told me why you're so protective..."

"So..?"

"I just wanted to tell you that you shouldn't worry so much."

"What do you mean?" Li asked eyeing Eli.

"Can't you see she wants to make friends other then girls?"

"Your saying she wants to date other guys?"

"No! I'm saying she wants to make guy friends. You know like your friends with Madison?"

Li groaned and looked to his side. "This is between me and Sakura ok?"

"You love her?"

"What?" Li shot his head looking at Eli.

"You love her?" He asked again.

"Of course i do." Li glared. "What kind of stupid question is that?"

"Hey guys!" Sakura ran up to the table. "Can you believe they got music from the 80's?"

"Can you give us a few more minutes hon?" Li asked.

"Ok." Sakura then ran back over to the music player.

"Now Li i think if you really love Sakura you would let her make some guy friends."

"I'm letting her be friends with you what more do you what?" Li groaned.

"There's going to be other guys who will want to be Sakura's friend. I'm sure some of them will try and ask her out..but Sakura wont ever leave you. I can tell she loves you very, very much."

Li sighed. Could Eli be right about this whole thing?

"Sakura." Li called. "You can come back over now."

"Ok!" Sakura smiled. She then ran back over to the table and sat beside Li. Li smiled and put his arm around her.

"You should see all the music they have!" Sakura sounded very excited. "From the 80's, 90's and even 70's! They have it all!"

"I'm glad your enjoying yourself." Eli smiled. "What about you Li?"

Li only shrugged.

"Wow! Look!" Sakura tugged on Li's jacket.

"What is it?"

"Birds!" Sakura giggled pointing up. "Their beautiful!"

"Yes they are." Agreed Eli.

"Don't you think so Li?" Sakura asked laying her head on his chest.

"I guess so..." Li blushed.

Eli smiled at the couple. "My, it's not every day I see something this sweet."

FLASH!

"What the?!" Sakura covered her eyes. When she un-covered them she saw Madison behind Eli at another table. "How cute!"

"M-Madison?" Sakura questioned. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here with my mom." Madison replied. "That was such a cute shot!"

Sakura and Li both blushed redder then a cherry.

Eli smiled. "Be sure to give me a copy." Eli whispered to Madison.

Madison smiled back. "Totally!"

"Heres your pizza." The waiter said setting the pizza down on the table. "Enjoy your meal."

"Thank you." Eli smiled.

After Sakura finished her pizza she and Madison went to check out the music. They decided they were going to pick a song out.

"Hmmm what one should we pick?" Sakura asked her friend.

"Hey look." Madison said pointing at Sakura's table. "Li's talking with Eli."

"I'm surprised he hasn't killed him yet." Sakura went back to looking at the music.

"Sakura!" Madison giggled nudging her.

"What? Its true, and you know it."

"I guess so." Madison shrugged.

"Say when their done eating want to get them to dance with us?" Madison asked.

"Sure. Li promised me anyway."

"Cool!"

Once Sakura and Madison picked their song they ran over to the two boys. Sakura grabbed Li's hand and Madison grabbed Eli's.

"Let's dance!" Sakura and Madison said at once.

"Sakura wait!" Li said. But it was to late Sakura had already dragged him on the dance floor.

"Shall we?" Madison asked.

"Sure." Eli smiled.

Dance floor

"Can we stop now?" Li wined. "We've been dancing for nearly an hour...."

"Li, its only been five minutes." Sakura said.

Li groaned.

Madison and Eli.

"I forgot how much Li doesn't really enjoy dancing." Madison giggled.

"He seems to be good at it." Eli said.

"He picks up things quickly."

Eli nodded. "Yeah."

Sakura's house

"Did you have fun?" Kero asked.

"Yeah it was great! We went dancing and there was birds flying around. It was wonderful Kero!"

"It sure sounds fun." Kero smiled. "So how did the kid like it?"

"Li had fun too...or at least i think he did. He spent most of the time talking to Eli."

"What about?"

"I don't know." Sakura shrugged. "He wouldn't tell me."

"Did you try begging?" Kero joked.

"Nah, when Li makes up his mind he doesn't change it."

"I don't think that's true."

"What do you mean Kero?"

"Well think about it. When he first came here, all he wanted was the clow cards, right?"

"Yeah."

"Well after awhile I think he changed his mind. The clow cards werent the only thing he wanted."

"Oh? Then what?"

"You, Sakura! Li just wanted to keep his mind on the clow cards, but then....he just had his mind on you."

Sakura blushed.

"Then finally his mind was completely off the clow cards when he fell in love with you."

"So you're saying he just may tell me?"

Kero nodded. "Exactly."

"Wow.." Sakura was surprised what Kero had told her. "So maybe he will change his mind about me being friends with other guys."

"Yep."

"I sure hope you're right Kero..."

Saturday

beep, beep, beep, beep beep, be- SMASH!

Sakura jolted up. "Kero!"

"It was starting to piss me off..." Kero replied. "You should get an alarm clock that doesn't make noise."

Sakura yawned and pulled the covers off herself.

"Going somewhere today?" Kero asked.

Sakura nodded. "I'm going shopping for Li's birthday present."

"Oh? Whens his birthday?"

"On Sunday." Sakua replied.

"Tommorow?"

"Yeah."

"What are you thinking of getting him?"

"I was thinking a nice glass case for his sword."

"Hey good idea." Kero flew onto Sakura's shoulder. "He would like that."

Sakura then took her piggy bank and sat on the floor with it. She then dumped the money out onto the floor. "Ok lets see...10,20,30...."

**Few minutes later**

"eleven dollars and thirty two cents."

"You think that will be enough?"

"I sure hope so."

Tokoyo center

When Sakura got to the mall she found a whole bunch of glass cases for sale.

"Hmm lets see." Sakura then found a nice small glass case on the bottom shelf. "Hmm nice but its to small." Sakura then saw at few others. They were either to big or to small. But on the middle shelf Sakura saw one that was the right size. "Ah!" Sakura beamed checking it out. "Its perfect! Li would love it." Sakura then noticed the price.

Sakura gasped. "100 dollars?!" She stood up. "I cant afford that!"

Sakura sighed. "Maybe he would like a pencil holder."

Then an idea appeared in Sakura's head. "I know!"

"Build a glass case?" Asked her father. "Honey wont that take awhile?"

"I can sure try dad." Sakura said. "I sure hope Li will like it."

"I'm sure he will." Her father smiled. "Do you're best Sakura and it will turn out better then you think it will."

"Ok!" Sakura smiled.

In her dad's tool shop in the backyard.

For the last few hours Sakura has been working really hard. She banged her finger with the hammer a few times but she just kept working and working. She just had to finish this case.

Knock! Knock!

"Sakura?" The voice asked. "You in there."

Sakura knew that voice. It was Li!! "Oh no.." Sakura whispered. ' I cant let him see this!'

"Y-Yes?" Sakura opened the door and stepped out. She then shut the door.

"Hey Sakura." Li smiled. "How are you today?"

Li then noticed the bruise on Sakura's hand. "Huh?" He took her hand to get a closer look. "What did you do?"

"I hit my hand with the hammer..."

"What are you hammering?"

"......"

"Sakura?"

"N-Nothing!"

"Tell me."

"I cant!"

"Why not?"

"umm...uh....a cage!"

"A cage? What for?"

"F-For our new bird!"

"Why don't you buy one?"

"To expensive! Besides its more fun to make one!"

"Do you want me to help you?" Li asked. "I'm pretty good with tools."

"N-No! I can do this." Sakura smiled nervously.

"Well ok...Oh yeah! I came here to ask you if you wanted to go out for dinner tonight. Just the two of us."

"D-Dinner?" Sakura asked. 'Can i spare an hour for dinner....?"

"Yeah." Would you like to go?

"I would love too....but i have alot of work to do."

"Cant it wait for awhile?"

"I suppose...."

Li took her hand. "Come on Sakura."

"Well alright.." ' I suppose i could spare dinner for Li... I will finish his case when i get home.'

Dinner

"Sakura are you ok? You look nervous." Li looked worried. Why was Sakura acting so weird?

"No i'm fine!" Sakura ate some of her food and took a sip of her drink.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!"

"Well ok..."

After Dinner Li walked Sakura home and kissed on lightly on the lips.

"You're coming to my party tommorow right?"

"Of course!" Sakura smiled. "I wouldn't miss it for anything!"

Li smiled. "Good. I'm looking forward to seeing you."

"Me too." Sakura smiled. "Of course i see myself all the time."

Li chuckled.

"Well bye." Li kissed Sakura one more time and left.

"Well better get back to the shop."

7:00 AM

"Tori?" Sakura'a father looked up from the news paper. "Do you know where Sakura is?"

"I don't know. Maybe she's still sleeping." Tori replied.

"I checked on her this morning and she wasn't in her room." He answered back. "Where do you think she went Tori?"

Tori took a bite out of this toast and thought for a moment. "The last i saw her was in you're shop."

Sakura's father gasped. "Could she still be in there?"

"Cant be." Tori stood up from the table.

"Well lets go take a look Tori."

They slowly entered the shop to find Sakura sound asleep. Tori walked over to his sister and picked her up. "Better get her to bed."

"Oh look." Sakura's father pointed out the glass case. "Looks like she got it finished after all."

"What's she making a case for?" Tori asked.

"Sakura made it for Li to put his sword in."

"That brat..." Tori growled.

When Sakura woke up she was in her bed. She groaned an looked up at the cloock. It read "1:30."

Sakura's eyes widen realizing Li's birthday had started at 1:00. Quickly as she could she grabbed her coat and ran out the door.

~DING DONG~

"Hello Miss Sakura." Smiled the buttler.

"I'm so sorry i'm late! I kinda fell asleep..."

"Its ok. Li is waiting for you in the living room. Come.."

**Living room**

"Sakura!" Li ran up to her. "Where were you? Did something happen?!"

"No Li i just fell asleep." Sakura replied.

"Oh? Did you not sleep well?"

"I was up all night."

"Doing what?"

"Nothing...nothing really!"

Li then noticed the huge gift Sakura was holding. "Do you need help with that? It looks heavy."

"No i'm fine." Sakura set it on the table.

"Lets play more games!" Madison giggled.

After playing games and having cake and ice cream it was time to open presents and Li opened Sakura's first.

Li gasped. "Wow Sakura...you did this for me?"

Sakura nodded. "I stayed up all night. Its for you to put you're sword in."

"Its beautiful Sakura." Li kissed her cheek. "Thanks."

Sakura blushed. "Thank you Li. I'm glad you like it."

"I cant believe you did this for me." Li eyes scanned the case.

"I love you and it was worth it."

Li smiled. "I love you too."

After the party

4:30

After everyone left Sakura and Li sat alone in the living room.

"Sakura...." Li started.

"Yes Li." Sakura turned her head to face Li.

"I decided to let you have guy friends."

Sakura's face looked very shocked. "What?"

"You can have guy friends." Li repeated. "I'm sorry i been so bossy."

Sakura kissed Li softly. "You weren't bossy....just over protective..."

Li smiled and kissed Sakura back. "I love you."

"I love you too Li."
