Actually kinda funny..I'm making a note*they are 12-no digi-battles...*

It was Saturday. Two days after Henry asked Rika on a date? Or just a friendly thing?

Takato woke up early in the morning. He thought about the Carnival which started at 6:00.

He wanted to ask Rika but he was afraid she'd say 'No Way Gogglehead!'

What Takato didn't know was that Henry asked Rika out.

"Well I gotta go give Guilmon some bread" Takato groaned and got out of bed. He put on a navy blue shirt on, on top of
a white long sleeve shirt. He wore baggy light brown shorts and had the usual hair style+ goggles.

"Carnival.Carnival.I'll just go with the group" Takato thought out loud to himself.

"Takato! You're breakfast is ready!" Takato's Mom yelled from downstairs.

"Ok Mom!" Takato said running down the stairs.

"You look nice today? Are you going to the Carnival?" said Takato's Mom.

"Yeah..I am" He quickly ate his breakfast and went into the hall.

"I'll be back before 10:00!" Takato said stuffing his pants with bread.

"10:00!??!?!?" Takato's Mom and Dad screamed but he was already gone.

Takato ran to Guilmon's place and opened the gate holding some bread that fell out.

"Takato!" Guilmon yelled in excitement.

"Hey Guilmon! Got you some bread!" Takato emptied his pants as Guilmon scarfed all it down

"You look nice today Takato!"

"You think?"

"Yes, where are you going?"

"To the carnival!"

"Can I come? Please?1" Guilmon begged.

"Oh alright then...But you're a person in a costume ok?"

"Ok Takato!"

Jeri was in her room. Her hair looked the same but she wore a white shirt with a green skirt. She stared at herself in the
mirror.

"I wonder if Takato is coming..I'll call him!" Jeri went to the phone and dialled Takato's number.

Ring.ring.ring.

"Matsuda's Bakery. How may I help you?" Takato's mom picked up.

"uh..Hi..This is Jeri.."

"Oh Hi Jeri!"

"Hi.Is Takato there?"

"No he already left. Why?"

"Oh..I just needed to ask him something.Bye"

"Ok. Bye Jeri."

Jeri hung up the phone and wondered where Takato can be. Jeri quickly called Kazu and Kenta and said to meet her at
the Guilmon's.

'He's probably where Guilmon is' Jeri thought. As she walked downstairs and ate breakfast.

"I'll be home before 10:00!" Jeri said to her parents.

"10:00!??!" Jeri's parents freaked out. Jeri had already left to walk to Guilmon's.

Jeri met with Kazu and Kenta. They all spotted Takato who was playing with Guilmon in the park.

"Hey Takato!" Jeri yelled in her soft voice.

"Takato over here!" Kazu and Kenta yelled.

Takato and Guilmon ran to them excited.

"Hey Jeri, Kazu and Kenta" Takato greeted then.

"Jeri! Any donuts?" asked Guilmon

"Sorry Guilmon, I have none today! But I promise I'll get you some"

"So are you coming with us Takato?" Kazu asked.

"Yeah, I guess"

"That's great!" Jeri said but calms down, blushing.

"O-kayy.." Kazu, Kenta and Takato looking at Jeri.

Henry was awake, laying in his bed, thinking about the evening. 'What if she explodes on me?' Henry asked himself then
looked at Susie and Terriermon.

"Otay! Wittle Tewwiermon, you need a koot bow! And a prewwty pink dwess!" Susie said as she played with the so
called stuffed toy.

Henry laughed a little seeing this. Susie then ran out to get a pink dress for Terriermon.

"Save me...I hate Saturdays and Sundays." Terriermon admitted.

"Don't use the word 'hate' Terriermon."

"Fine.I dislike Saturdays and Sundays.."

Susie came back in the room.

"Otay- - "

"Susie! We're going out today! Let's go!" The mom says.

"I gots to go Tewwiermon!"

Susie leaves to go out and Terriermon is greatful.

"Survival..." Terriermon says taking off the idiotic stuff.

"It's already 1:00?!? "

"There is still 6 hours.Momentai.."

The blue haired boy quickly runs to the bathroom and styles his hair with gel. He has the same hair style then he walks
to his 'wardrobe'. He puts on beige baggy pants on. 'This is new' he thought to himself. He then put on a white shirt
then wore a nave blue vest over it.

"So how does this look Terriermon?" Henry asks.

"It's just Rika, Henry.."

Henry sighs and nods at Terriermon, disappointed.

"Something wrong Henry?" Terriermon asks.

"This is kind of important to me Terriermon."

"Important? But why?"

"Nevermind"

"Ok. Other than that you look great!" Terriermon exclaims.

" Thank you anyways.I guess I'll go to the park. Are you coming?"

"Sure Henry!"

Henry walked to the park thinking and imagining how the evening will go. 'Ok..That last thought wasn't exactly reality.'
he thinks to himself.

He soon meets up with Takato and them in the park.

"Hey guys and girls." Henry greets them.

"Hey Henry. What's up?" Takato asks.

"Nothing really."

"So Henry, are you going to the Carnival?" Kazu asks.

Henry is silent for the next 5 or 6 seconds because he instantly thought of Rika.

"Uh.Yeah..I'm going"

"With who?" Takato asks curiously.

"What's with all the questions?"

"Don't change the subject!" Takatos say sounding a little angry.

"I'm going alone ok?"

"Then why don't you come with us?" suggests Jeri.

"No thank you Jeri."

"Momentai" Terriermon says.

Takato glares at Henry. 'Something is up. Why is he being so weird?' he thinks to himself.

"Let's play!" Guilmon storms off.

"Yeah!" all of them cheer excluding Henry. Running off with Guilmon.

Henry checks his D-Arc for the time.

"3:47"

"Lets' go play with them!"

"Ok Terriermon"

Henry and Terriermon go after Takato and the others playing tag.

At the Makino/ Nonaka house, it seems as though Rika is having a crisis. With clothing!!

"I can't believe I'm making a big deal out of this!" Rika yelled at anyone who cared to listen.

"Then you must like Henry?" Renamon suggests.

"Like- Henry? That is impossible."

As Rika digs through her drawers and closet, Renamon is trying figuring out what's happening to Rika.

Two pair of jeans and a couple of skirts fly onto Rika's bed.

"Skirts?" Renamon asks.

"I know. I'm not going to wear them."

She tries on the darker jeans that are slightly flared.

"Oh my gawd.." Rika looks in her mirror and turns to Renamon.

Renamon nods 'NO'

She then tries the more tight jeans then turns to Renamon, another NO.

Rika digs more lousy clothes her mother had bought her. She picks out some light blue jeans that are slightly flared.

"How about this?"

"That looks presentable."

"Meaning?"

"It looks good."

Rika then picks out a few shirts. She tries a light blue tank-top on and turns to Renamon 'NO'

She tries on a white halter top and turns to Renamon.

"It looks nice but, do you really want to wear that?"

"No I don't!"

Rika then tries on a white tank-top then a beige tank top.

'I can't believe this. Has Rika been changed by Henry?' Renamon asks herself.

"The beige one."

"This is almost un-believable. Almost." Rika exclaims.

She then walk to the mirror. Taking her pony-tail off her hair goes down. She actually styles it! Putting curls at the ends
then taking two strands of hair from the front and clipping both strands at the back.

Renamon looks at Rika, amazed at her change of personality.

"There..Renamon..What happened to me?"

"Hmm..It's your first date. I wouldn't be surprised." Renamon says but she is surprised.

"Its's not a date.."

"Ok Rika.."

Rika walked out of her room and saw her grandma on the net. She look over her shoulder.

"Woo.Granny Chat.."

"I know. My friend Rosa says that green was never a Mimi Tachikawa color"

'Okaayy' Rika thinks. Just then her grandma turns and looks at her and almost has a heart-attack.

"Rika...You look very nice. Anything special tonight? Or is it a date?"

"There just some things I put on and no nothing special and no it's not a date."

"Then what?"

"Erm..Where's Mom?"

"Somewhere in the house."

Rika rolled her eyes and went to the kitchen where, her mother was. Rika looked on the counter and grabbed her
grandma's famous brownies. Ms. Makino turned and saw Rika nearly speechless.

"Rika. You look fabulous! I thought you would never get out of those old tomboy clothes."

'Me and my brainless mother. That's it. Fashion is all she cares about. Well, you look nice too mother' Rika thought to
herself.

"Just something I put on"

"There is obviously some occasion to wear those clothes. So what is it?"

"I just wanted to- I just put them on, ok?"

"Hmm.Still the same attitude."

"I'm going out.Be back before 11:00."

"Why 11:00? You curfew is 10:30."

"There are somethings in life you have to deal with" Rika said rudely leaving the house.

Her mother gasped and just stood there like a ghost.

"That was a nice way to show your mother you care."

"Who said I cared?" Rika stopped and looked at Renamon.

Rika and Renamon went to sit on a rock near the pond in her yard. She threw little pebbles in the water, giving herself
away.

"You're nervous."

"I am not.."

"Then why are you so tense?"

"Renamon, I actually get to go with someone and maybe have fun. I'm not sure what fun means anymore so, I maybe a
little."Rika's trails off as Renamon fills in her words.

"A little scared.."

"I have to admit Renamon, I'd probably die of loneliness without you." Rika almost smiled.

"I'm glad you're finally opening up."

"Don't get carried away."

"As you wish" Renamon fades into the shadow and watches from above 'Maybe Henry is what Rika needs. I think he
sensed that before I did. But who knows. I may be wrong.'

'It's 6:30.' Henry thought.

"I think it's time to go now!" Jeri said excitedly.

"Yeah!" Kenta and Kazu said at the same time.

"Aha.Well, I gotta go!" Henry said turning around.

"Hold it! Aren't you going to the carnival?" Takato asks.

"I am. I have to tell my parents! I never told them." Henry quickly makes an excuse.

"But I thought you left a no-"Terriermon starts then his mouth is covered. Muffled talking is all you can hear.

"Aha..Bye!" Henry races off to Rika's house.

"He sure is weird" Jeri exclaimed.

"Oh and you aren't?" Kazu shot back.

Making Takato and Kenta laugh.

"Let's go!" Takato cheered as Jeri, Kenta, Kazu and Guilmon followed.

Henry walked down the street where Rika lived. He stood infront of the wooden, fancy gate. He knocked then waiting
for someone to answer. A girl, with auburn hair and two strands clipped back with a beige tank-top and light-blue jeans
that are slightly flare, opened the door. And to Henry's surprise.

"Hey Henry."

'She called me Henry' He thought.

"Uhm.Hi.."

Henry stood there. Looking at Rika in amazement 'I can't believe what I'm seeing for some reason' henry thought.

"Are you just going to stand there all eveing?" Rika asked.
