Weyrwoman Naeodin yelled at the top of her voice. It wasn't like her to loose her temper. But, where were the candidates?! The eggs were hatching!! She calmed down, and barked orders at everyone to search for them. This was unexpected, the eggs were hatching off schedule.... she looked for Ikara, the rider of the mother of the clutch. Finding her, she walked forwards and started to reassure her.
Suddenly, all the candidates burst through, some putting on their robes, others plain tripping over them. But they made it to the stands. Others arrived too. In a mere trickled at first. Then as fast as they should have. She stood back, her temper cooled. But by shards, she would have hated for the eggs to have hatched too soon!
There were fifteen eggs on the sands, a lot. The largest one was in the middle, while the other, slightly smaller ones encircled it. Then, one of the eggs hatched. Breaking the circle. The egg sheels splintered apart slightly, then something seemed to peep out of the slightly large hole. Everyone held their breathes in anticipations. All thinking. 'Would I impress?'
The egg shell broke, and in its place was a large brown. It looked around him with a almost a smug look at the commotion he had caused. Then, as if deciding it was time to choose, he walked straight towards the females.
The girls hung back, and everyone watched silently. The brown headed straight towards a brown haired young woman. She had the such curly hair, and her green firelizard hung about, as if inspecting everyone and eveyrthing.
Teedia stifled a gasp as the hatchling walke her way. She looked at the hatchling unsurley, before she ran forwards. 'See Teedia, I knew you would come. I'm Timith, and I... well... I.... forgot. Can we go now? I'm feeling tired. You can help me remember over some scratching!' Teedia laughed and whispered to her new friend.
"Ofcourse I will."
Meawhile, another egg hatched, just as soon as the brown had left to find his companion. It revealed to show a shiny little blue who already busy, was running around on wobbly legs. It ran towards the boys, then the girls. Then the boys again. Finally, with one last turn, he ran towards the girls and sat at their feet. As if in though.
Not able to resist, Hacis giggled. Hearing her, the small blue looked up and walked unsteadily towards the blackhaired girl. 'Am I that funny? But... I didn't do anything. Oh, I understand now. No, I don't get it. Hacis, I'm tired. Will you come with me? I need some sleep.'
The black hair girl grinned and hugged the little hatchling She had been worried at first, but everything had worked out...
"Thats find with me Lanth. Come on, lets go."
Another blue had hatched, and this one made his ways towards the boys, so sure of himself. He walked right up to the boys and.... stopped. He looked from face, to face, to... feet. The small blue sat at his position, and looked up.
Rbon looked at the little blue and smiled. He reminded him of Mirrimum with his little thinking buisness. Without realising what he was doing, Rbon reached down and picked up little blue, saying outloud.
"Mirrium will loved to know who you are Celth."
Kidul watched on silently with his fingers crossed. Another egg had hatched, and this time, it revealed another blue. He watched as the small blue made his way towards him, and the other guys. The hatchling made his way forwards towards his direction, and Kidul watched. Almost all of a sudden, he felt a small nudge on his leg, and he looked down. Kidul, don't you want me? My named is Jurnth, and I've been waiting.
Kidul grinned all of a sudden and scooped the little blue into his arms, and walked away.
Everyone watched the sands again after the little blue had left the sands. an egg rolled onto its side, before a slim crack appeared. It seemed the little hatching was shy! The egg revealed another small crack, and another, and another, before the egg fell away, revealing a bronze. It bronze little up at the crowds and at the males standing in wait. This was the first bronze to hatch in this clutch. And all the breaths were held. The bronze walked unsteadily towards the males, and avoiding the eager eyes. It then, as if making his decision, stood infront of a young man of 6'' with strawberry blonde hair that curled slightly. He looked at him and made a motion with his small... hands. Look at me Walano, I can help you with what you do. I like music too! I do! My name is Musiith.
Walano looked down in surprise. He had not expected a bronze. But still. It was nice. He looked down and winked. "Lets go show everyone how much we love music eh?"
The people smiled fondly as the two walked off. But their attention was again, on the eggs as a egg hatched. It seemed to shudder, then crack wide open, to reveal a slim green. The green looked up at the candidates and, with a purpose in her mind, walked off straight towards the girls, towards a young woman. The woman had long, black hair and medium colored eyes. The green stopped right in front of her and tugged at her skirt. Kori looked down, startled. Could it be? A small green was sitting on her skirt, looking up at her with wide eyes. Kori looked into them and found herself entranced. she picked the little green up and whispered fondly into her ear.
"Yes, I'll have you Cinith."
Two candidates, from the same place, looked at each other for hope. They had become friends along the way, and were better friends now. They smiled at each other, wishing good luck when two of the eggs hatched on after another. They revealed small, petite greens in their places. The greens walked forwards towards the girls, before stopping. They looked at each other, as if hoping for support and made their ways towards Zeidon and Yondulion. The two candidates looked at each other and burst out laughing, before each picking up a green.
"Ofcourse, you're here with me Zeannith." replied Zeidon. "We'll become a best of the best, won't we, Yeannith?"
Kaori watched the tow girls walk off. And she started to think. She was so deep in her thoughts, she hadn't realise that another egg had hatched! This one did, and revealed a tiny green. The green yowled outloud, which made Kaori look at the little green. As their eyes met, the green walked forwards while Kaori murmured. "I won't ignore you again Kriwith."
This is the lovely Kriwith, steal her and you shall DIE!
{{My eyerideges itch, will you please scratch them?}}
[[I'd love to my love.]]
{{Thank you.}}
Little Kriwith was eating at the hatching feast after the hatching, not to long ago. Kaori had almost ignored her beautiful, shiny green dragon. Kaori was now considered a weyrling and her hatchling a dragonet. Weyrwoman Naeodin was coming around talking to everyone. Kaori had been embarresed that she had ingnored her dragon for awhile.
{{Do not be embarresed.}}
[[How can you say that? I almost didn't impress you!?]]
{{Not true, you would have noticed me after awhile.}}
[[Yes, I suppose so.]]
{{Here comes Weyrwoman Naeodin!}}
[[Where?]]
{{There, she is with Jr. Queen Reith and her rider..I think her name is Margot. She's coming to us next.}}
[[Yes, I'm would never want a Queen since I now have you. I love you with all my heart. I once heard a weyrwoman say, "The more the dragon grows and you oil, the more you have to love."]]
{{Intresting, I like that saying.}}
[[You know, you're very itelligent for only a green, more a dragon. You remind me of Ruth, the white dragon.]]
{{Yes, I guess I am, my eyeridges are sctraching again.}}
[[Okay.]]
Kaori started to sratch Kriwith's eyeridges as Weyrwoman Naeodin approached ehr table. She smiled politely at her.
"Hello Kaori, Hello Kriwith," she said.
"Hello Weyrwoman Naeodin! Interesting hatching wasn't it?" asked Kaori.
"Kaori, you seemed puzzled over something, would you like to talk to me about it in the hall?" asked Weyrwoman Naeodin.
Kaori looked at the Weyrwoman and sighed," Yes, I need to tell you something about Kriwith."
The Weyrwoman gestered at her as she got up. They went into the hall where firelizards were waiting in bunches. Weyrwoman Naoedin shooed them away, and they did as she told angerily. Kaori looked at her long flowing light blue gather dress. The weyrwoman looked nice also. Their wasn't anyone in the hall. It seemed diffrent so empty.
Kaori sighed as she started to talk," Kriwith is more intelligant than most dragons her age."
The weyrwoman smiled at Kaori," It is normal my dear girl, do not be worried or surprised over this, Kriwth may be more intelligent, do not be worried."
Kaori sighed a relief as she went back into the hall. She sat down as Kriwith casted her a strange look.
{{What was that about?}}
[[You, I told the weyrwoman you are special.]]
{{Intresting.}}
Kriwith finsished eating with her rider. It was a candle mark later when they were tooken bakc to the barracks where everyone changed and their dragons on a barrack and their rider underneath them when the room in the girl's barracks finally became quiet. Everyone fell asleep except Kaori, who took the day of her trimph and glory of becoming a dragonrider. She took these things and pondered them as she kept them in her heart always.
It was early about 6 months later when Kriwith and Kaori woke up to see Kriwith had grown up.

[[You've grown up!]]
{{I have!?}}
[[Yes, go look at yourself at the lake!]]
{{I will later. Right now, I'm hungry!}}
{{Okay, let's go cut up your food.}}
They got up and walked to the kitchens. She got up and cut up some meat and fed it to Kriwith. Her eyes whirled a happy blue green color.
{{I want to go for a swim! Then, you cna oil me!}}
[[Okay. What's gotten into you today? You seem excited over something.]]
{{Well, I don't know actually. I guess I'm excited over nothing.}}
[[Okay, come on!]]
Kaori and Kriwith walked down to the lake where other weyrlings,adults, and a few hatchlings were bathing in the siunlight on the beach of the lake. Kriwith started waddling into the aqua colored water of the lake. Kriwith was very happy. They had today off from training. She was glad they had given the class a break.
Kriwith, after a while of swimming, came out of the water and shook herself and layed down in the sand to dry and sleep for awhile. Kaori walked back to the weyrling barracks and took a quick bath.
Kaori returned to her Kriwith just when she was waking up with a jar of dragon oil. Kriwith rumbled happily as she saw her rider return. Kriwth stood up and shook the sand off herself.
{{Took you long enough!}}
[[Great, your grumpy. Come on, I'm going to oil you.]]
{{Am not! COme on, please oil me!}}
Kaori smiled and took some oil and started to rub it into her dragon's hide. Her hands started to grow soft from the oil on her hands. After while, she finally finished oiling Kriwith.
{{My eyeridges itch!}}
{{Okay, my love.]]
Kaori started to scratch Kriwith's eyeridges happily. After while, Kriwith felt sleepy.
{{I'm tired.}}
[[Okay my love. You sleep here on the sand.]]
Kriwith laid on the sands and she closed her eyelids and went to sleep. Kaori went back into the caverns of the weyr.
Kaori impressed Green Kriwith at Istabitha's Weyr.
