Anna SINKIEWICZ (Annie Sienkevicz)   b 08 Oct 1899 Plymouth, PA  d 14 Mar 1981 Detroit   Lithuanian;   Believe located Anna in 1900 Census- Plymouth PA - age is 8 months old-  The official enumeration day of the 1900 census was 1 June 1900.- with her birth accurate within 30 days. Name given as "Annie Sienkevicz." Mother listed as "Christian" - Close to "Christine" -discrepancy is that father's name is William in Census. Real name was "Vincent." But Vincent in Polish is  "Wincenty" and dumb clerks butchered Polish/Russian names routinely- Original hard to read- could in fact be "Vincent." Another confirmation is that father has a restaurant - seems likely- and that living/ working there are people with surname: Bodravitch / Christia Boravitch - Anna's mother surname I have as Baltoswicz- which has zero hits as a name. Has her father as "Polish/Russian" and her moither as "Lithuanian." Immigration date is pefectly on target.
Ignacy John PASKIEWICZ  b 15 Jun 1897 "Russia" Also, his 1918 draft card lists "Russia" as his birthplace (Sill using name "Ignatz" .  Miner, then   Boxer: Bareknuckle- backrooms of Chicago, etc, as "Jack Smith" Played semi-pro baseball. Later ran butcher market in Detroit. Avid card player- (penny ante). 1918 Living in Plymouth PA, 405 E Main Street, d Detroit  Arrived in Detroit 20 Sep 1928. Res: in Detroit: Camden, 1931 4032 Clemens; 1932- 14912 Holmer; then 14847 Fairfield Detroit.  1910 Census worked in grocery store

So you know that "Javer" is actually changed by my grandfather from "Dziawer".  And it looks like I might have some Russian heritage.  Pat Javer
