This page is dedicated to the memory of Guus Smit, the gregarious dutchman who inspired and entertained all the runners in La Transe Gaule. Tragically, Narbonne Plage was to be his last finish line in this life. Guus!  Where you are now and forever the mountains are indescribably beautiful, rugged and challenging. Guus P.
