Burnaby Oakeys "82" Girl's Fastpitch Team ~ Defending Champions ~

The Oakeys '82 Girls Fastpitch team was first formed as a group of Mite (U10) selects in 1992 to offer girls of elite ablility to compete against girls of the same calibre.  The team has been very successful over the past 9 years.  Through hard work and dedication the girls have won the right to play in two Western Canadian Championships and including 2001 - three Canadian National Championships.  Nine players from the 2000 Canadian National Championship team are returning to play in the 2001 Canadian Nationals hosted by Lashburn.  The Oakey players and coaching staff wish to extend our thanks to the host committee for all the work they have put into hosting this event.  We also extend our best wishes and good luck to all teams competing.
