Dr. Emil Pascarelli and Lisa Sattler, MS, PT, have given us permission to post the first 15 minutes of their talk at our meeting earlier this month. Dr. Pascarelli and Ms. Sattler had just concluded a two-day seminar for local PT's and OT's but were kind enough to stay on several additional hours so that LA RSI could hear them speak.

We chose to use the MP3 format for these audio files so that we could keep file sizes small enough to download quickly on a dial-up connection. Probably the best way to listen to these files is to download all of them and queue them all up together in sequence: pasc1.mp3, pasc2.mp3, pasc3.mp3. The files break at unexpected points but won't sound disjointed if played this way.

To play an MP3 file you've downloaded on a PC, you need a player like Winamp, Windows Media Player 6.4 or higher (which is probably already installed on your system if you have a newer computer), Quicktime 4.0 or higher, or any MP3 player of your choice. All these downloads are free and instructions on using them are on their websites.

To play an MP3 file on a Mac, you need a player like Quicktime 4.0 or higher, SoundJam MP, or SoundApp, all free downloads. Instructions for downloading, installing and using these players can be found on their websites.

NOTE: People on Macs report experiencing some problems. Here's a possible solution: If you're losing MP3's you've just downloaded or if some MP3's disappear before your eyes after you've heard them play on your system, you need to allow your default mp3 player to "change filenames" (do it in the "preferences" section of the menu of the player). Otherwise your player just reads the list (plays the MP3) and doesn't make any attempt to save it.

pasc1.mp3 - 632kb - 5:23 mins
pasc2.mp3 - 604kb - 5:08 mins
pasc3.mp3 - 695kb - 5:55 mins

If you're having trouble figuring out how to play these files, you can *try* writing us and we'll *try* to get back to you with an answer.
