Once upon a time, there was a fair lady by the name of Brenna la poetessa dei Leoni. Brenna was soon known as Brenna of Lyonsbane. You see, Brenna had an enemy, the Lord Lyons, the most infuriating male she'd ever encountered. He was a most worthy opponent, a warrior of words almost without equal, but Brenna was adept and would not bow to him nor even retreat a single step. Known for her words, how could the accursed beast ever hope to best her? What were two such valiant warriors to do when locked in battle for so long? Why, what they did, of course. There was nothing to it but to marry the Lord again and take the name of Lyons proudly, and so Brenna has been named for many years since.
