The Digital Revolution - Let's Trade

Please Note: I am just a record collector and music fan. I don't sell CDRs or profit from trading.

July 2000 - Launch of new site. Still not actively trading, but may as well put my lists up for people to see. Plus, I am open to purchase offers on original items in my collection.

May 2000 - After around a year without one, I have a new CDR drive. However, I've had problems getting the software and my new hard drive working. I'm currently not trading and haven't been for some time. I may have a spare of the CDR you want, or may be able to put you in touch with a trading friend, so enquiries are still welcome.

Feb 2000 - I've changed the formatting of the listing pages so that they now use style sheets. As a result some of them are well under half their previous size. (As an indication, the contents of the zipfile has gone down from 12 files totalling 7912k to 15 files totalling approx. 4000k; interestingly though because of the deletion of redundant information the zipfile itself is still pushing 600k, smaller only by about 25k!) Anyrode, online viewing will be much quicker now as the HTML pages are significantly smaller, and as a result I've also now put the Tracks listing online as it's now smaller than the MP3 list used to be..

In November 99 my world was rocked when the hard disc contaning my data failed. The earlier failure of my CDRW meant I've not been able to back up for some time. As well as my music database, which had been the beneficiary of a lot of really good late night programming, my email folders went too. I lost accounts and months of work. To a certain extent I've started to come back from this experience, but the loss of all that work and data is still a daily problem. You could help me if you know of (or work in) a top-notch data recovery lab. I'm looking for a cost-effective lab with a high success rate, which only charges on success, and which guarantees 100% confidentiality with my data. Geographical location doesn't matter a great deal. Please email me if you can help. I'll reward you with 25 CDRs if your advice leads to incident free recovery of my data.

Billy Bragg, Carter USM, and similar left-field/indie/alternative artistes
Techno/ambient/dance artistes - Orbital etc
Complete shows from the Glastonbury Festival, especially 1992 to date
Video CDs and picture CDs (Hong Kong, Japan, Western)

plus many others. My tastes are wide as you'll see from my lists - try me!

As I now have quite a large collection my priority is to acquire music that is on my wants list - please take a look!

I'm no longer interested in:

Nirvana unthemed compilations (apart from additions to series I already have). I am still interested in A-grade Nirvana shows and themed compilations like radio sessions.
Manics bootlegs, except in the unlikely event they're The Holy Bible related and A+.
Most Britpop

Rules & Guidelines

You must read the guidelines before requesting a trade. There's nothing heavy there, just lessons learnt from a lot of trading. Also contains details of the various formats I can dub to and from.

I'm a mega music junkie who has spent thousands of pounds on CDs - I'm not looking to rip the record companies off but to trade for bootleg material I couldn't otherwise get. Don't worry, I'll keep on buying the new releases - I can't help myself :)
