Nov. 10,2004: He ate 3 hoppers again and now out weighs Bandit again, at 184 grams! I did measuremets this week and he's up to 33". With all he's been eating lately, I'm surprised he only grew .8" ?
Nov. 17,2004: He ate 3 hoppers, and weighed in at 190 grams.
Nov. 26,2004: He was blue today, and didn't eat. Somehow he lost weight, even with evrything he's been eating? He only weighed nat 178 grams?
Dec. 1,2004: He shed today, and had a good shed. Although he wrapped it around his branch again!
Dec. 4,2004: He lost prety much weight this week again. He only weighed in at 168 grams. He didn't eat this week either.
Dec. 12,2004: Still not eating! He's down to 164 grams.
Dec. 18,2004: Well, he finally ate! It was only one hopper, but it's something! He weighed 166 grams? So, he gained weight without eating?
Dec. 27,2004: He ate one hopper again. I didn't weigh him because of the problems I've been having with the scale.
Jan. 5,2005: He made a pig of himself this week! Satin didn't eat hers, so he took care of them for her! He wound up finishing off 5 hoppers! I'm going to try and see if he'll take a bit larger prey next time since he SEEMS to be in feeding mode again.
Jan. 15.2005: He's been playing clean up for all the little ones lately. He took 4 hopppers this week. I measured him and he's up to 37.5"! That's 4.5" in about 2 months!
Jan. 24,2005: He ate only 2 hoppers this week, and weighed in at 179 grams. I have to get some larger mice for them at the next show. Just doesn't seem he should still be on hoppers even if he does take smaller prey than most snakes his size.
Jan. 30,2005: He was blue today, but still took 2 hoppers. He weighed in at 195 grams.
Feb. 4,2005: He had a nice one piece shed today!
Feb. 6,2005: He ate 2 hoppers again.
Feb.13,2005: He didn't eat this week. He weighed in at 240 grams.
Feb. 26,2005: He still weighed in at 240 grams, but took a bit larger prey this week. The mice weighed about 12-15 grams instead of only 8-9 grams. Although he only ate one of them.
March 5,2005: He didn't eat this week. He also seems to be having problems gaining any weight over 240 grams, because that's what he weighed in at AGAIN this week!
March 13,2005: He only took one weanling mouse this week, but FINALLY broke past 240, and weighed in at 250 grams this week! I did measurements this week and he only grew about .6" in almost 2 months? At least he's not shrinking!! LOL
March 19,2005: Hmmmm......some how he LOST weight this week? He's back down to 240!!! LOL
He did take one weanling mouse this week.
March 26,2005: He looks like he's starting to go into shed. He did take one weanling mouse though. He weighed in at 260 this week!!!
April 3,2005: Well, he's in full blue this week and didn't eat. He still weighed in at 260 grams.
April 7,2005: He shed today and had it wrapped around EVERYTHING in his tank! I wound up tearing it when I tried to take it out. : /
April 10,2005: He's hanging in at 260 grams, and took 2 weanling mouse. I think I'm going to TRY and move him up in prey size, to see if he's over his small prey fixation.
April 20,2005: STILL hanging in at 260! Looks like he's stuck again! LOL
He did take a weanling mouse again.
May 1,2005: Well, I got some weanling rats at the show yesterday, and gave them to see if he'd take them. He went nuts!! Flipping his tail all over the place, and striking at everything that moved! I grabbed the tail of one of them and he struck and wrapped it up! He wound up taking 2 weanling RATS this week!! He also FINALLY gained some weight, and is up to around 275 this week. I did measurements, and he's up to 40.2"!!! I guess he must be putting all his nutrients into growth instead of weight! :)))
